DREAM CABIN IDEAL FOR FAMILIES OR LARGE GROUPS ~ Game Room, Hot Tub, ON Trails!!

You’ll have plenty of room inside and out on this private, serene lot. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. With extra sleeping room in the loft, this home can sleep 18 with 3 king beds, 4 queen beds, and 6 twins.
NEW PAVED ROAD ADDED!! SEE PHOTOS!!
BASICALLY ON THE TRAILS - 3 MINS FROM Englewood trailhead on The Mickelson Trail. It is just down the road and take right and you will be there in a minute or so!
The beautiful kitchen is open to the great room and dining area. Enjoy the peaceful view from the covered deck at the front of the cabin or the quiet back yard from the patio on the back side of the house. You’ll enjoy the hot tub, streaming and gaming ready internet (no cable - must use own login credentials for streaming services), fireplace, large game room with pool table, and ping pong and many more awesome amenities. 5 quick miles down the US Highway 14 to Deadwood, approx. 5 miles to Terry Peak. You can ride Snowmobiles/ATVs/Dirt-bikes directly to and from this cabin.

For our winter bookings - we do advise you bring an all wheel drive vehicle. We do our best to keep the road clear, but winter weather in the Black Hills can be unpredictable!

My family of 6 and 4 dogs recently stayed for 5 nights. We enjoyed our stay very much. The host was very nice and prompt with responses. One of our TVs was not working and the issue was promptly resolved that day. We enjoyed the hot tub and game room very much. One downside we can see with this rental is the road leading to the place. If the weather is questionable with a lot of snow one would have a tough time getting to the place. There were two things we could complain about. The front of the cabin could have had little better snow removal. We parked in front of the cabin to unload our vehicles when we got there and it was very icy and dangerous to walk on due to the amount and ledge of snow that was there. The biggest complaint we had was the cleanliness of the place. Granted we wanted a place that was pet friendly so we understand there could be some pet hair left there but it was terrible. After only being there for a few hours our clothes and socks were absolutely full of hair and our 4 dogs are non- shedders. The master bedroom literally had clumps of hair left on the floor and rug in front of the bed. The floors were left very dirty as it clearly showed on our socks. Even so we would definitely stay again and hope for better circumstances.

Cabin has everything you need to never leave the cabin if that's what you want. Cook in the comfortable kitchen or grill for your family and friends just bring groceries! Enough room to spread out if you want to do different things. We cooked, played cards, jumped on the utv trails and came back to relax in the hot tub.

Beautiful cabin and location. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms for the whole family. I love that it was pet friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. We would stay again if we come to Lead. I would recommend to anyone that wants a secluded getaway.

Amazing cabin , property and location . We had a group of 8 and a few pups . We had a fantastic time brought our sxs’s did trails which are easily accessible from cabin . Also lots of sight seeing and restaurants close by . The cabin is perfect has everything you could think of plus some . We are already planning our next trip back we loved it so much . The owner is amazing as well so nice and there to answer any questions she really knows the area well which was very helpful . Highly recommend this cabin .

We loved our time here. It was comfortable, the house was well stocked for cooking, plenty of towels for showering and the hot tub, the area is beautiful and peaceful and we had great communication with our hosts. We highly recommend this property!

Great place to stay up in the mountains outside of Lead. Road construction was a bit of a mess but the detours worked. Great cabin for a big group and managers were great to work with. Lots of room and all the amenities were fantastic!

Loved location. Had everything we needed. So enjoyed back patio area. We were a family of 9. 3 couples and 3 teenagers. The house was comfortable for us. I would say another bathroom would be nice if you had any more people than this. Ours were tied up sometimes, can’t imagine if you were a family of 18 which is what it sleeps. But overall I would not hesitate to rent this home. Comfortable, well taken care of, well stocked with kitchen supplies too. It had everything to make our stay wonderful.

It was like the pictures so what I expected. In the evenings it was hard for my dad to sit down and relax and put his feet up to prevent swelling because the handles on both recliners were broke and you can't recline the couch because the table is in the way. I let the maintenance guy know a couple things to tighten up. I let the housekeeper know that the window above the sink and dining room need cleaned, if the sun is right they don't look bad. When I stripped beds I noticed one of the mattress pads was not very clean, stains all over and then dust bunnies under the beds . I noticed the main areas were clean but not deep clean. I threw some pastries out of the cupboards that was there before I got there or they would get moldy. The grill was not cleaned. Then with the mini split unit not working in the loft it was not comfortable sleeping conditions, the main floor was to cold for everyone if we tried cooling it down. Opened window when we could but when using the fire pit the smoke would come right up. We enjoyed our time and being able to have everyone in one spot. I am only telling you things so you know

Family Reunion

We loved this place. We are a family of 17 people. Great front porch as well as back deck, patio and hot tub. During construction of a nearby development project, driving to the place was confusing as well as rough roads, but we still recommend it.

Perfect for our family

Mile High Cabin was just what our family needed! We had three family units and the accommodations were more than adequate. The sites and activities we enjoyed were easily accessible from our cabin. There’s were multiple activities that could be enjoyed inside on the rainy days and when we needed down time. The kitchen was fully equipped for us and spacious enough for multiple people helping prep. We all want to come here again!

Amazing private cozy home!

We rented this cabin for a family reunion and had a blast! We read through all the reviews before booking as you can rent a beautiful home but if the host is not awesome then it can make a negative experience. This host for this cabin was beyond amazing, very responsive, friendly and professional! It felt like i was talking to a family member! She made our stay that much better! Thank you Jennifer! Our family had a blast! There is a ton of parking space which I have never found in this area! We brought games like corn hole, horse shoes, ect and had more than enough space to play. The cabin is private which we loved! We sat outside near the fire pit at night and caught up on time. The cabin is beautiful inside and out. We did have a couple issued pop up however the way they were handled and resolved couldn't be better if i did it myself! My family and I will definitely be using these guys in the future! Thank you for making our stay so special!

Annual stay

We go to the Hills each summer to ride ATVs. This was our 3rd time staying at Mile High. The owners are easy to work with, it's close to the trails we like to ride, and there's a spot for bonfires and beers at the end of the day! Can't beat it!

We loved our stay at Mile High Cabin and wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin was clean and stocked with all the necessities.  The peaceful porches were our favorite part! The front porch was perfect for breakfast in the mornings and the back porch was perfect for bonfires and enjoying the hot in the evening. We hope to be able to book Mile High again on our annual Hills trip.
