"We can't rave enough about Black Thistle! It provided the perfect setting for both our rehearsal dinner and getting ready for the big day at Brunswick Ballroom, just down the street. The venue's ambiance was incredible, and we even took our wedding photos there – they turned out stunning! We absolutely loved the combination of the dark wood and black accents"

"Nice place, nothing overly fancy but exactly what we needed when staying to visit KU. The property is about a 3 minute drive to KU, it was clean and nice. Only having 3 spoons but having 12 spatulas was a bit odd, but we managed. Good place for the price. Thanks!"

"We came in for our son’s final home baseball weekend at Hoglund and this was the perfect location. The space was very clean, spacious, and had a well supplied kitchen. Beds were comfortable and living area was great. The outdoor space was wonderful as well. It was perfect for our needs. Highly recommend."

"Clean and spacious two bedroom, two bathroom suite accomodated our family needs perfectly for two nights. It also had a full kitchen and washer/dryer for stays of longer duration. Located right next to Washburn University. The cafe in the bottom of the building had friendly service and a great breakfast. The bedroom closest to the street had some street noise, but pretty quiet through most of the night."
