B&B in Lee County

"Came to check in 30 minutes past check in and room wasn’t ready. It was sold out the night before (and that night) due to the Darlington Race. The staff member quickly moved us to a room that was ready. Upon entering the room no shower curtain or TV remote. Both were corrected immediately. Breakfast was good. Was disappointed that pool wasn’t open (apparently doesn’t open for the season until May or June) wished this was noted on the website. All staff were friendly and very responsive. Would definitely stay again. 15-20 minutes from Darlington Raceway for NASCAR fans. "

"This is a very nice hotel. The room was very clean & the bed extremely comfortable. We loved almost everything about the hotel. The first thing we found that we did not like was the person who checked us in, they were so soft-spoken that you could not hear them. Very nice & friendly just kept having to ask can you repeat that I can't hear you. Other than that, checking in was fast and easy. We did come down to having dinner & a few drinks. Well, that is where the hotel has the opportunity to really shine but did not. The bartender was also the cook! We had two drinks, a burger with fries & 6 wings, $115.00, the bun on the burger was burnt & the food was cold. It took over a hour and a half for us to get the food, after our first drink it took 20 minutes to get another one. We came down for breakfast the next morning where they seemed to have a good selection. However, the staff were too busy talking with each other to keep food out. Keep in mind there were not a whole lot of people in the breakfast area at this point. They seemed to really like bacon because they made sure that pan was slap full, but not the eggs or potatoes. If you are looking for grits or oatmeal don't waste your time, they are instant & they don't have oatmeal & the water is warm not hot, no microwave, good luck finding pepper & salt. They have a communal set, but they don't work. It is a very nice hotel but they need to work on having bartenders & cook staff if these areas if they are open."

"The Managers are Horrible!! They were nasty, knowingly liars, who tried to FORCE us to electronically sign a very large document. They REFUSED to give us a hard copy to read, and cancelled our stay ,(with the reservation & NO Refund), because we refused to electronically sign. They threatened us with the police if we didn’t leave in 10 minutes. We have stayed there no less than 10 times in the past. Brenda, in the breakfast area is one of the hardest working & kindest people ever. But the management (including corporate who never answered a VM), were the WORST! Even Expedia had a poor service response when trying to get my refund!"

"Room was dirty and needed repairs. The walkway was clean, but areas under the desk and beds had not been cleaned in weeks. The bathroom area was acceptably clean, but needed lots of repairs and paint. The tub creaked when anyone got into it. Stayed at 2 other hotels this weekend and this was the worst, by far. The exterior area was messy, and the brekfast was limited. "
