The Barn is designed with attention to detail and curated for our guests comfort. Experience ever changing spectacular views on three sides of the Ridgeline. It is settled amongst lush, green nature views near the Village of Blowing Rock.

This exquisite Barn Themed home is an exceptional, mountain-top haven, perfect for making lifelong memories with the ones you love. It is a stunningly beautiful and rises majestically from the it's surrounding to dominate the Ridge. The multitude of windows frame a stunning, ever-changing panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Every little detail of this sanctuary, from the Industrial/Barn decor, the large wood stove with complementary stacked wood awaiting your arrival, and the thoughtfully outfitted kitchen and baths instantly engenders a feeling of home.
Being perched on a mountainside you can experience all the changing vistas that Mother Nature displays. Not only is the house exquisite, but the location couldn’t be more perfect. Enjoy the views from the Viewing deck overlooking the John River Gorge and Pisgah National Forest while enjoying the Solos wood burning fire pit with complementary firewood. You will feel tucked away in a magical place, yet be only minutes from Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is convenient to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Grandfather Mountain, Mast General Store, hiking, waterfalls, and breweries. When you stay at the Barn, you’ll carry home a mountain of memories.
Relax in front of the real log burning stove on a leather sectional and chairs on the main floor. Entertaining is easy with open dining and kitchen spaces. It has a Professional, large kitchen with an Island and granite counter tops. The kitchen is fully stocked The dining room sits 6 people plus the nearby island will sit an additional 4 people. There is a free standing bar that is fully equipped to store wine and liquors for entertaining. It’s a great place for family dinners and holiday gatherings.
The house is perfect for four couples or a family.There are two Master bedrooms with king beds. They both have adjoining baths. Upstairs there are two additional queen size bedrooms that share a Jack and Jill bath with separate entrances. One of the guest bedrooms upstairs has a wonderful desk area that over looks the mountains where you can work. WiFi is high speed and fiberoptic state of the art.The Upstairs has a true Treehouse experience with multiple windows overlooking the vast views. Relax and watch the game in the upper living room or share a snack at the little kitchenette area and play cards or do a puzzle on the gathering table. The upper floor has multiple uses and flexibility. Garage is not available for guests.

Great mountain retreat for families

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and spacious mountain home. It was especially nice to be so close to both Boone and Blowing Rock.

2nd Stay! We loved it (again)!

We stayed at the Barn for a girls week and enjoyed EVERyYTHING. Great views from every vantage point. The deck is fabulous and everything is so convenient. We'll be back for a 3rd visit for certain.

Breathtaking views

The photos of this home don’t do it justice. We stayed in the middle of summer and had clear unobstructed views from the lookout deck. There were also beautiful views from the back deck. This property is conveniently located right off the main highway which made visiting downtown Blowing Rock and traveling into Boone very convenient. We will absolutely stay again!

Best cabin ever!

In 20+ years of staying at cabins for our vacations, The Barn is the best overall cabin that we have ever rented. It was clean, well-stocked and close to Blowing Rock as well as the many hiking trails that we were able to experience during our week there. Lisa was also great to work with and always very responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend staying here!

Love the Barn!

The Barn was a great stay! The pics don’t do it justice, it’s so beautiful in person. The location is great. You’re able to get to Blowing Rock and Boone easily. The rooms are huge. It’s almost like 2 houses in one with plenty of room upstairs and downstairs for friends or family. The views of the mountains out back are stunning. Lisa was so easy to communicate with. When we got worried about ice, Paul was there within minutes salting the drive. While the driveway is steep, it’s not hard to maneuver. The kitchen was fully stocked to cook at home. Our dogs loved watching birds from the porch. We’re already talking about a return trip!

Gorgeous and convenient

We were 4 friends meeting for the first time since the pandemic. This house was very lovely, quiet, clean, and spacious. Comfy beds and beautiful interiors. It’s less than 15 mins to downtown Blowing Rock. I highly recommend this property.

Nice, clean, good location

Great stay near blowing rock. Convenient location near downtown blowing rock and blue ridge parkway. Well kept, clean, good internet. Property owner friendly and good communication. Nice common areas to hang out both upstairs and down. The views were nice too. Proximity to the main road means you can hear the cars going by a bit outside, but otherwise great place and will stay again.

Fabulous views, so convenient, terrific home in Blowing Rock!

Spent a wonderful 5 days at Apple Ridge with friends. The view is wonderful from every vantage point - especially the deck/overlook. The home is absolute perfection with everything you need in the kitchen and baths. Lisa and Paul were lovely, responsive, and easy to work with. I doubt we will stay anywhere else when we visit Blowing Rock/Boone.

Beautiful private home

This property is beautiful and very well done. The home is very welcoming and thoughtfully equipped for guest. The deck overlooking the mountains is particularly special and my husband and I spent many hours there enjoying the views and the fire pit. The check in process was very easy as was communication with the owner. I highly recommend this property!

Great Holiday

This property was so nice for visiting my son over the Easter Holiday. He attends APP State and this was so easy to get back and forth to Boone. The home is beautiful and comfortable for a family. We loved sitting on the outside deck by the solo stove with the great view. We enjoyed making big breakfasts in the morning is the kitchen and the family room space downstairs and upstairs is nice for watching movies and playing games. The owner was really responsive to all my emails and made our stay very nice. Would definitely stay again and recommend this property. Kim

AMAZING!!! 5 STARS!!!

Look no further! This property was absolutely amazing on all levels. Perfect location, mountain views, comfortable, clean and cozy! Perfect setup for my family regarding beds, bathrooms and space. The beds were very comfortable which is always important! We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck and building a fire each evening and drinking coffee in the mornings. It was one of the highlights of the entire trip. My only suggestion would be to put some lighting from the house to the deck as the walkway is really dark. We did use the flashlight but some permanent soft lighting would be really helpful. I hope to be back!! Thank you for being the perfect host!

A RESPITE FOR THE SOUL

This house is beautifully decorated, wonderful mattresses and comfy sheets. The long range view of the mountains is a spectacular place to sit on the deck with a glass of wine, cozyied up to the fire pit and share memories. We loved that the entire yard was fenced in for our pup to enjoy the outdoors with us. Lisa, we are so glad this property was a available at a time we needed it. We will return’

Beautiful property

We greatly enjoyed our stay at The Barn. The home had everything we needed and the views are exceptional. We were even able to use a gate to avoid others using The Barn's private driveway and therefore our vehicle was very secure. The Wifi was very fast (fiber optic) and we were able to use the 'Net and stream with no difficulty. The kitchen had everything we needed and all the appliances were high-end. We like renting Lisa's properties and will do so again.
