10/10 Excellent

"A nice hotel in a brilliant central location in Chur's old town. The room was spacious and we were grateful to be upgraded to a room with a coffee machine that supplied hot water for tea. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when we realised we hadn't brought the right travel adapter to fit Swiss electrical sockets, and the lady at reception lent us an adapter that worked. The buffet breakfast was decent as well, and we really appreciated the guest cards that gave us discounted tickets for the cable car and free entry to a few museums. Top tips for anyone staying in Chur - check out the incredible fondue restaurant, and also a bar called Tom's Beer Box if you're a beer lover who is also a fan of alternative music!"

"Lovely clean and comfortable room. Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Don't forget to ask for the free Chur guest card which gets you half price admission to the cable car and free rides on the buses."

"We enjoyed our 2 night stay. The included breakfast was good. We found they hotel to be clean. The only issue for me was no coverage 7:00pm or later and we had to use our key card to unlock the door. I personally like to know there is someone at the front desk in case of an emergency. I was not even sure who to call for fires, or medical needs. But yes we would recommend this hotel."

"This is such a unique property and we loved that the original jail doors were left intact. We booked a room with a private bathroom and were impressed with how well the cell spaces are utilized for the hostel. The front desk staff are helpful with recommendations for dining, etc. and the town is highly walkable, quaint, and fun to explore. The facilities are clean and having luggage storage onsite was also very nice. We also loved the location in the Old Town. Would not hesitate recommending this hostel to anyone staying in Chur."

"Great stay! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I especially loved the spa, which offers several sauna options as well as a herbal steam room. Parking was reasonably priced at €10. The location was convenient, with several restaurants within walking distance. Our room was also clean and comfortable. Overall, a great experience and I would happily stay here again."

"Really loved staying here. All of the staff we came into contact with were super friendly and helpful and they helped us get suitable parking for our large van that would not fit in the underground car park. The bedroom was well presented, clean and comfortable. The bathroom seemed very new and was also very clean. Our balcony provided lovely views of the mountains and we enjoyed watching the cows visit in the morning. We did find the mattress and pillows slightly too soft but this is entirely personal preference. The breakfast buffet in the morning was also delicious with so many options and having use of the leisure facilities at The Lenzerhorn was very welcome after a big day in the bike park!"
