Comfortable small hotel in the centre of Lerwick

We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. One of the best aspects is that the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from Commercial Street, and within easy walking distance of most of the many places to visit in Lerwick itself. However, one of the best parts of the hotel are the staff who are amazing, especially Jane, one of the managers. After a few days stay they felt like family. We thoroughly recommend the Kveldsro if you are looking for a small, intimate hotel in the heart of Lerwick. We plan to stay there again next time we visit Shetland.
