"The hotel was located in a perfect area, rooms were very small so the pictures of them were quiet deceitful. We bought breakfast from a Cafe and were told we couldn't eat in the courtyard of the hotel which wasn't okay, we paid to stay there and just because we didn't spend 19 euro for the hotels breakfast we couldn't eat there? Also the room smelt a little damp. But for 1 night it did its job."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Le Cloitre St Louise. It is housed in a beautiful old building, has a wonderful court yard and the pool on the roof was a wonderful place to relax. The staff for the most part were charming and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Our room was on two levels with the bathroom downstairs, quirky but perfectly comfortable. Thank you"

"I last stayed here over 10 years ago and I thought it good then but now it is even better. In those 10 years my command of the French language has declined but the receptionists speak perfect English. I had asked for a balcony and wanted one in the sun but what I got was a brilliant terrace with sun all day. There is also a terrace that all guests can use from 10am until 8pm, also in the sun. The studio was spotlessly clean with adequate utensils, saucepan and frying pan as well as hobs a microwave and a fridge that works really well, even the small freezer at the top. In my opinion this is a rarity. I travelled alone so I often cooked for myself so this was important I took cleaning cloths and a kitchen towel with me but needn't have as all that is provided. There is a TV but understandably the channels are in French apart from the BBC news channel. I slept well but did find the mattress a bit hard for me but then they can't cater for every person's taste. The supermarket is just next door and I found it inexpensive. Crossing the road and going through the ramparts it is a fairly short walk to the centre but much to enjoy on the way."

Baumanière Les Baux de Provence

"Beautiful hotel grounds in an amazing Provence location! Staff was friendly and the hotel is so charming. Definite downsides which prevented it from being a 5-star resort: our room only had one window which was the glass entry door on the ground level. If we wanted privacy, we had to close the curtains and have no daylight which wouldn’t be a huge problem except that there are absolutely no lights in the room except two reading lights on either side of the bed or a task lamp on the desk. That’s it. So if you don’t want anyone watching you change/shower etc, you have to get ready in near darkness. Second, when housekeeping cleaned our room they took every towel and didn’t replenish. When I called to get more towels it took 2 hours for them to bring us any. Finally, the bed was very stiff and the sheets were not soft at all. This hotel wants to be a luxury five star resort but the attention to detail is what is keeping it to a four star hotel."

"This hotel is beautiful. The room was large with a gorgeous bathroom. The location is perfect. Hotel staff were extremely friendly. There was a musician in the lounge which made for a relaxing evening."
