"We stayed at the house for a week with a group of 9 friends. The house itself was great! We were kindly welcomed by Jean Pierre who gave us some great tips on what to do in the area. The ruins of Donzy are nice to visit, and the hilly region is beautiful to walk through. Otherwise there is little to do for tourists in Panissières itself, it's just a regular French village. Luckily there are large cities (Lyon and Saint-Etienne) within a one hour drive. The same goes for the Beaujolais wine...

"12 of us stayed here for a week. First of all Nathalie and Anthony were wonderful. They were helpful , responsive and friendly. The pool area , the hot tub and the dining room were great and modern. The bathrooms really need work. We had constant issues with the valves in the bathrooms. There are not enough electrical outlets and there is poor storage. The air conditioning is only in the common areas and 2 of the 5 bedrooms. Saying that the place is air conditioned is deceptive. There is no...

"Nous avons apprécié la maison, moderne, bien équipée, entourée d'un vaste terrain permettant de s'isoler pour lire. Il est possible d'y séjourner avec une grande famille tout en conservant une intimité. Bémol à nos yeux : la proximité avec Lyon était un critère de choix pour nous, mais chaque trajet prenait au moins 45vminutes (embouteillages,etc)"

"Une séjour parfait et correspondant à nos besoins. Juste 2 points à noter et qui expliquent les 4 étoiles au lieu des 5. Heure d'arrivée tardive et surtout peu flexible. Ménage très approximatif à notre arrivée. Énormément de poussière et différents objets (chaises etc) plutôt peu propre. En dehors de cela tout était parfait. Je recommande"

"This ticked all the boxes for what we wanted: big garden, private pool, lots of space and near Lyon Old Town. But the property is much more tired than the photos give away, and I don't recall the listing saying that the garden backed onto a busy main road so the garden and pool were not nearly as tranquil as we were hoping."

"Ideal house for 3 generations of family. Lovely outdoor pool, slide, Wendy house, children's playroom as well as basket ball and table tennis for the adults. Super outdoor eating area under pergola and lots of lovely local places to eat. Enjoyed local Wednesday food market and La Bastille celebrations at St Cyr."
