The 4-star rating is because we were advised just before our arrival that there was a problem with both the dishwasher and the oven, though the problems were resolved to our satisfaction. Also, the location of the property itself was not clearly described. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and I would thoroughly recommend this for a friends or family break."

"We had a wonderful 3 night stay in this beautiful, extremely well equipped lodge. As an extended family group with an 11 month baby and a dog it suited us very well and everyone was happy. Runswick bay has a beautiful beach and is quiet and unspoilt which suited us! Yet it was a short drive to hot spots such as Whitby, Sandsend and Robin Hoods Bay. We would love to return in the not too distant future."
