"Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. "The staff were incredibly professional and helpful. I couldn't fault any one of them but I would mention abby particularly. The service was impeccable and the food was very food. Breakfast was so good and there was a lot of choice. We had a pool room which was perfectly positioned next to the pool which was clean with loungers and seating.
