We were enjoying our stay, room was presented decently and staff was helpful, bathroom wasn't in the best of shape but nothing that was worth complaining about. However on our day to check out we woke up at 3 am so we can check out and head to the airport. When we turned on the lights, there were Roaches. Nymphs crawling on the walls and a few adults around as well. Upon getting home I isolated the luggage and inspected them. There were a few hitch hikers stowed away and that is not good. Luckily I treated them like bed bugs and didn't allow anything from the stay in or near the house.

While the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is clearly in need of significant updates and repairs. The room (on the 4th floor) had a musty, mold-like odor and appeared to have been cleaned inadequately before our arrival. We found dust, hair, and crumbs behind the bed and bedside tables, and there were two stink bugs in the room when we checked in. The bathroom showed signs of heavy wear, with a bathtub that was scratched and visibly outdated. Overall, the room felt old and unpleasant. Ultimately, we decided to check out and move to a different hotel because we were concerned about the overall cleanliness of the property. To be clear, we did not find any bed bugs, but the room's condition, appearance, and smell did not inspire confidence and made us uncomfortable staying there.

We wanted just a place to get away from the Northern weather and see our youngest do some rock climbing. Richmond was a great place for us. But we had car trouble and had to extend our stay. The motel staff was so supportive, it blew our minds and in fact made us want to go back to Richmond.

Ask for Betty!! She was the entire reason we stayed several days longer. Amazing Manager, she saw to every request we made. Keep her at all costs as most of the other employees are absent from their post or entirely ambivalent about helping with anything. Bed, Carpet, Furniture were all very clean & nice. The beds were nicer than I expected. I couldn’t tell if the bathroom floor & shower/tub were run down or poorly cleaned.

This hotel was in a decent part of town and had plenty of services nearby, with the exception of a laundromat. The hotel was clean and comfortable and I would recommend.
