"Fourth time we have stayed there over the years, it is convenient for the bridge across to Bilbao port and offers a good range of local ameities nearby providing you can find somewhere convenient to park. We could not get the air con / fan working that evening. They have upgraded the rooms compared to the previous visits and the picture accurately shows the view we had. The improvement work continues and IT IS NO ANSWER TO SAY IN SPAIN BUILDERS ARE ALLOWED TO START AS EARLY AS 8:00 WHEN WORKING IN A BUILDING. IT IS A HOTEL - GUESTS MIGHT LIKE TO SLEEP IN, THAT'S OFTEN WHAT THEY PAY FOR - IF THE HOTEL CANNOT CONTROL THE BUILDER'S START TIME (UNTIL SAY AT LEAST 9 WITH WARNING) PERHAPS THE MANAGEMENT SHOULD LOOK ELSEWHERE / PERHAPS CHANGE PROFESSIONS, AS THEY CLEARLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE BASICS OF RUNNING AS A HOTEL OR CLOSE PROPERLY FOR RENNOVATIONS. My suggestion that such an early start (on a Saturday morning) was not really what you'd expect from a professional hotelier was just met (from morning staff) with a shrug of shoulders. it's Spanish rules! Very welcoming Breakfast good, albeit with just one member of staff there, to check people in and find initial coffee plus attend to eberything else there are understandably longer waits then should be the case for some of the food replenishments to come out. "

"The hotel is nice but very simple. The staff isn’t welcoming and cheery just very business with minimal conversation. We felt as if we were a bother. The lobby is very basic with no real sitting area and the entrance to the hotel is on the backside not the street level which is inconvenient when arriving and unloading. It’s not clearly noted and is a bit confusing. Room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Pillows were very hard unfortunately. There is a small, complimentary coffee station in the lobby that is a nice perk. "

"Restaurant was nice but the room was disgusting. Very very cold and smelt very strong of drains all through the night. No gesture of good will from the hotel. Apart from wavering the £15 parking fee. Reception staff did not listen and we found them very rude. "
