Wonderful lodge break

We spent a week in Buttercup Lodge and had a brilliant time. The lodge is beautiful, has everything you need and was absolutely spotless. We did some fantastic walks around the lake and further away, and the hot-tub was a real treat afterwards. The cafe at the lake serves fab lunches and cakes. Would highly recommend a stay here, just bear in mind you need to travel if you want to eat out in the evenings

Beautiful lodge

I stayed in Buttercup Lodge for 7 nights. The lodge was lovely, very clean and tidy. The hot tub was an added bonus. Cannot fault the lodge or the booking system in any way at all. The only thing that spoilt it was disturbance by a group of all lads at a neighbouring lodge. They were quite noisy. I was under the impression that groups like this were not allowed in lodges eg stag/hen parties. Such a shame as otherwise the most peaceful place on the planet.

New Year Treat

We had a lovely stay at Buttercup lodge over the New Year. The weather wasn’t kind to us but we were happy in our warm, comfortable and cosy lodge. The only comments I would make was the need for extra chopping boards and additional plates and cutlery would have been helpful. Also, we were unfortunate for the hot tub not to be working which was something we were all excited about. However, we still had a wonderful time and hope to visit again soon when the water sports centre and cafe are open too.
