"We had a small wedding here in the first week of October, and everything about this villa exceeded our expectations! To start, the property and surrounding area is unbelievably beautiful. Barga and Castelnuovo are hidden gems that had great restaurants and sights to visit. The property itself is nestled on the side of the mountain, and has stunning views of the valley. Our favorite was the morning fog that rolls in! The villa itself was perfectly updated, while retaining its Tuscan charm. We were able to comfortably fit family and friends in the individual apartments that allowed for hanging out but privacy also. However the best part of our stay at the villa was interacting with the owner, our wedding coordinator Marie (through Tuscan retreats), and the staff. They immediately treated us like family and were extremely generous! They cooked our wedding reception dinner as well as the pizza night. The food was up there with some of the best meals we’ve ever had, and the service felt like fine dining! They were so understanding and gracious with all of the chaos that comes with a wedding, and for that we’ll be forever grateful.We highly recommend this property to anyone thinking about getting off the beaten path in Tuscany, we certainly can’t wait for our next visit!"

"A slice of heaven on Earth! Originally we had intended to use this as a home base to visit other areas. Once we arrived and witnessed to beautiful surroundings we only made a couple of trips. We could not have had a better family experience. The owners made it very special leaving a basket of farm fresh goodies that we made the most delightful Potato Leek soup. The downside, we had to leave to go home!! :( Just delightful!!!!! "

"When I dreamt of visiting Tuscany, Villa Olivi was what I dreamt of. It was perfect for our friends and us. The views are incredible, and the house was very comfortable and accommodating. As withers have expressed, there is one tight squeeze going up the hill in a car, but otherwise the whole experience was magical."

"We left a big piece of our collective hearts in Treppignana! The massive, rustic building was perfect for our family group. When you travel a long way (Canada and Norway) it’s great to be impressed and that we were! Everyone was kind and accommodating to us. It was a very personal experience. We had the pizza chef come to feed us one evening. This is most highly recommended. I got pretty good at driving the road up to the palazzo but I recommend two things: at first, don’t do it in the dark, and be sure to rent a narrow, sturdy vehicle. Overall a 10/10 unforgettable experience. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this villa – the setting is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. The villa was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the outdoor space was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.Our children especially loved the alpacas, chickens, and tortoises. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, even leaving us a delicious homemade cake on arrival.The nearby villages are quiet but charming and worth visiting. We also took day trips to Florence and Pisa – longer drives, but definitely worth it.Thank you for a fantastic stay!"

"We were awe stricken upon arrival. This home was even better in person. There was one morning when there were low clouds in the valley and we ate on the patio seemingly above the clouds. The views were spectacular. The drive to the home is typical, switchbacks, tight curves and elevation gain. The nights at the main house were cool and comfortable. The pool was always refreshing after our daily adventures. There is a bathroom by the pool for convenience too. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table too! Just a great stay, everything we hoped for. "

"Cool comfortable house high in the hills. Lovely setting a mix of gardens, olive and cherry orchards and woodland. We breakfasted to the song of blackcaps with bee eaters, hoopoes and buzzards glimpsed in flight. We felt very close to wildlife. The best pool we have ever swumIn. Clear mountain air. Delightful Barga and other villages nearby. Good places to eat within 10 minites drive. Lovely hosts, nearby if we had a problem but discrete. Arrived with delicious homegrown cherries and courgettes. "

"Lovely old mountain house with great pizza oven and stone built BBQ. The gardens are great and the pool was amazing. THAT VIEW!! you feel like you are swimming in the mountains. We even saw fire flies at night. "
