Very Disappointing Stay – Not Suitable for Summer

This was one of the worst hotel choices we’ve made. While the hotel might be a decent option during winter, it was unbearable in the summer. The room was extremely hot, and there was no air conditioning or even fans available. When we tried to open the windows for some relief, we were met with loud noise from the parking area—especially from large buses starting early in the morning. The lack of ventilation made it very uncomfortable, especially since we were traveling with two small children and elderly family members. We arrived late, and all the nearby shops were closed, so we couldn’t even buy a fan ourselves. We paid 4500 SEK for one night, which was absolutely not worth it. Had we known the hotel didn’t provide fans or AC, we would have either chosen a different place or brought our own. Hotels.com should have clearly mentioned this in the listing or sent us an email. We’re very disappointed and will not be recommending this hotel—or Hotels.com—because of the lack of crucial information. A very frustrating experience overall

The property is very clean and nice looking, and it's easily walkable to the shopping district and several major attractions. Property needs more parking spaces to accommodate a full hotel. Overflow parking was parking under trees or in an grassy area. Additionally, our booked Deluxe room was not properly reserved in their system, so we were downgraded to a standard twin and they were fully booked and unable to adjust our booking. The breakfast buffet is one of the best parts of staying here and is easily worth the stay by itself! It is hard to beat and we looked forward to it both mornings of our stay.

Terrible

We arrived at 23:30 and wanted to go straight to bed, but the room was not ready. The receptionist told us to sit down and wait for 20 minutes and have a coffee (at 11.30pm!!!) , while the room was beeing cleaned. As we were tired and needed to rest, we agreed to take another type of room that was ready. I said we would be grateful if we could get a room that was recently renovated, but the receptionist rolled her eyes and would not even check. The building could do with a renovation.

Un peu vétuste. Le petit déjeuné est plutôt complet, mais l’hôtel étant tellement grand et il y a tellement de monde que cela a rendu le petit déjeuner non agréable. La piscine n’est pas beaucoup chauffée. En revanche le cadre est top. Pour une nuit c’est ok. Pas pour plus.

Hotellet er greit, men her må det ryddes opp i kjøkkenavdelingen. Dette var langt under pari. Fabrikk kjøttkaker, halvfabrikata saus fra Knorr elle Toro. Kjøttkakene var limete i konsistens. Fryktelig. Fisken var grei. Nei dette var triste greier. Ta en prat med Scandic City i Fredikstad. Vi var der noen dager før. TOPP

Veldig bra hotell for oss med små barn med tanke på uteområdet og fasiliteter. Synd de ikke har ordensvakt som sørger for at det var stille rundt kl 22-23-tiden. Vi ble liggende å høre på en familie med barn som spilte fotball ute på fellesarealet til over midtnatt. Veldig slitsomt når man har barn som skal sove og man vil sove selv.
