"My recent stay at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta was overall a great experience, but there were a few surprises worth mentioning. The resort itself is beautiful — tucked away on a private beach surrounded by lush hills, it feels like a peaceful escape. The beach is clean and well-maintained, and there’s plenty of room to relax without feeling crowded. The service was excellent across the board. Staff were friendly, professional, and always eager to help, whether we were lounging by the pool or dining at one of the restaurants. The food and drink options were good, but one thing to be aware of: even though it’s advertised as all-inclusive, there were extra charges for “premium” drinks and certain food options. If you wanted top-shelf liquor, better wine, or specific menu items, you had to pay additional fees, which was a bit disappointing. It’s something I wish had been more clearly explained up front. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had stunning ocean views. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves every night was a highlight of the trip. Overall, Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful resort with great service and a relaxing atmosphere. Just keep in mind that not everything is included in the “all-inclusive” price. "We loved our stay at Condo Azul. Rod couldn’t have been more helpful and timely with his communication and recommendations. Mercedes gave us a warm welcome upon our arrival and showed us the beautiful space! What a lovely condo - clean, spacious, beautiful bedrooms and an amazing view of the ocean. A perfect place for our family of four. We would definitely come back!"

"The property was amazing - better than the pictures. The condo was bright and airy with beautiful ocean views. Both of the bedrooms, which were located on opposite ends of the unit, had balcony access. Note: If you don't plan on having a car or taking an Uber everywhere, and want to take the bus (which is VERY conviently located at the bottom of the hill), the walk to the apartment from the street/bus stop is pretty strenuous. Not only are the hills steep, but the cobblestone road makes it difficult to walk on. My friend and I are in good shape and walked up and down multiple times so it is doable, but tiring. The bus to town costs only 10 pesos and takes about 10 minutes which is great if you don't want to stay in the city but have access to it. I would highly recommend."

"Patio Azul was a nice surprise. During our last visit to Puerto Vallarta, we stayed at a hotel about a half-mile up the road, but this hotel was a much better choice for what we were seeking. It only has a handful of rooms so the experience is a bit more personal. The rooms were well appointed and all but one have excellent ocean views. Our room had a private patio and the hot tub was just a few feet from our door. The staff was extremely welcoming and engaging. The views are beautiful with a very personal bar and dining space within a few steps. We were also presently surprised by the dining experience. Both my wife and I are lactose intolerant, so it was exhilarating for her to know the French Toast was made with lactose free milk. It was so delicious she ordered the meal on back to back days. I enjoyed a vegetable filled omelet with chorizo on the side. Top the meal off with fresh squeezed OJ and a tasty margarita and we could not have asked for more. The outdoor cushions were a little worn and on our last night the guests above us made a lot of noise in the middle of the night. This was not the fault of the hotel staff and would have been addressed had I decided to go to the front desk to notify them. There are no phones in the rooms, so any requests must be made in person. There are quite a few steps and all rooms require using the steps for access, so if you have limited mobility this hotel would not be a good choice."
