"We paid over £1000 for a two night stay. The room was very very tired and felt grubby and dated. The room was worse than a budget hotel room. Despite the £500 a night price you have to pay extra to have a cooked breakfast and the self serve breakfast on offer is very poor. No table service and only coffee on offer is weak watery coffee via a thermos flask. Not actually sure how they can justify the room price. Bathroom in particular was very dated and grubby - shower is operated via attempting...

"Had a great stay atvyhe Hurtwood. Found it by chance. Great village with plenty of walking direct in to the Surrey Hills as directed by the lovely lady who checked us in. Room very comfortable with fresh milk provided. We found the car park easy for a big car, but would not be so easy in season I think. Dinner in the bar was excellent and good portions. Breakfast cooked to order also great. Will go again. Thank you."

"It shouldn't be called Hotel &Spa. The name is misleading, the spa has nothing to do with the hotel is totally independent a separate business. It just happens to be inside the hotel. Disappointing really."
