"We had a fabulous week staying in Utah House. The location was perfect for all the WW2 museums, beaches and villages.Samuelle is the perfect host and greeted us on arrival, giving us lots of information about the property. The grandkids loved the pool and being visited by Buddy the Cocker Spaniel and the ducks every day. There is everything you need in the house and it has some lovely items relating to the war in various rooms. The gardens are gorgeous too with outdoor furniture and loungers.Would 100% return and recommend if visiting this area. Thank you Samuelle for an amazing stay. "

"We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Catherine’s beautiful gîte! We drove from the UK and met up with the grandparents from the US in order to see all of the D-Day sites. This location was absolutely perfect to visit sites around Bayeux and also Utah Beach and Ste Mere Eglise. We previously stayed closer to Bayeux and this location was much better for visiting sites in both directions. The house is substantial and perfectly accommodated our group. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need for easy dinners in. My son absolutely loved the dogs and chickens on the property! There are two groceries within easy driving distance. We had a packed 5 days and saw everything on our list and more! Would absolutely stay again!"

"A very warm welcome by Sam, the host, awaited us upon arrival at her beautiful home in Vouilly. True to listing details, the ‘luxury guesthouse’, was exceptional in all respects- French country charm at its very best- tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Loved the rustic touch of the fully stocked kitchen. What a peaceful country setting- village church bells ringing; white doves cooing and crickets singing as evening came! Buddy the dog stole our hearts. The enclosed, spacious garden- with a park area- was ideal for our little ones to run around freely and safely. The swimming pool certainly took first prize! Such luxury! The house is ideally located for visiting the historic D-Day sites: the American Cemetery at Omaha; the military Museum; the landing beaches… ‘Lest we forget!’ The Sunday market at Port en Bessin; the toffee factory at Isigny –sur-Mer and Bayeux all visit ‘musts’ . So much to do, such little time. Sam is a very friendly and helpful host –nothing was too much for her, even sharing a little of her evening meal, tasty beef cheeks and champagne. What a chef! What a photographer! Her artistic work – family portraits and gilded country scenes are simply outstanding! Sam’s property is within easy reach of Cherbourg and Ouistreham ports. We highly recommend a visit! We would return! "

"Eric gave us a friendly and informative welcome and we loved the individual atmosphere of this house. Very spacious for us two and would easily suit bigger groups. The two double bedrooms are good sizes and we loved how he has used original furniture and features, so you know you are in France. Normandy has so much to offer and it was easy to travel around. The kitchen cupboard is a marvel! Merci beaucoup pour un bel séjour."

My husband and I are world travels sometimes four times a year throughout Europe…Barcelona, London, Portugal, italy and this undoubtedly was one of the best experiences we have had! Sam is the consummate host, ensuring everything is in order and your every need is taken care of…the property is historic and very well maintained. Situated in the French countryside, the site is serene and bucolic. We stayed in the old Bakery building and enjoyed the pond and sweet little ducks that greeted us every morning. Sam took care of us even before we arrived, helping us with rental car, restaurant suggestions and tour recommendations. The kitchen is modern and well equipped and the antique decor complements the timeless interior. Large bed, firm mattress 5star linens everything was just perfect! We will return! The best part again was our lovely hostess who we now count as a friend💕 Highly recommend this VRBO site!"
