The owner Gilles is very easy to communicate with and answers your texts very quickly. "We had a lovely time in this charming little cottage. Very quiet, comfortable. Our host was very helpful and communicative as well. "We stayed 3 nights at this cozy place, which was calm, quiet, and peaceful. The unit is in a garden setting. The fragrant linden tree was in flower, and the red current bushes were full of edible berries. We had access to trail bikes, which we used to explore the countryside. The hosts were very kind and attentive."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Des Grands Voyageurs! Attentive staff, and an especially welcoming bellhop, who we enjoyed seeing each day. The room had a lot of great touches, like small minibar included and refilled (with snacks, Coke products, beers), a little welcome gift, etc. They offered refillable water bottles, which was a little odd (3 euros to replace them or get a new one), but it was nice they'd fill your water bottles. The location is wonderful - just a block off the Sainte-Placide Metro and walkable to the Jardin du Luxembourg, shopping, restaurants, etc. We love this area, as it's somewhat more residential but still very close to our favorite attractions. Bed was comfortable and the rooms were well-appointed. Breakfast was also good. Would have been nice to have eggs and coffee to order, as the coffee machine coffee in particular wasn't great, but overall very nice, especially for a 4-star property. Also nice that there was a fitness center. Would have liked to see some smaller weights than 11lbs, but other than that, it was sufficent for travel workouts. The restaurant and bar area are beautiful, but we were disappointed to see that the bar was dead every night. No guests or outside patrons. We really love a lively bar at a hotel and this bar has a lot of potential. Overall, we had a great stay. The value of the room rate was good for the quality (i.e. it was not inexpensive at all, but not overpriced). We would definitely stay at this hotel again! "
