"Very friendly staff. Warm cozy room. Well stocked bathroom - shower gel, shampoo, hand lotion, shower cap. Nice selection of teas and coffee in the room plus shortbread. A couple of areas could benefit from attention - some of furniture was a bit shabby, shower pressure was very low and oscillated between unbearably hot and tepid. Plenty of parking but there was no real guidance or convention as to the orientation/areas to park in. None of these were major issues. Lovely house and grounds."

"During our visit we had no heating in the on suites . Which caused the feeling of dampness & nowhere to dry the towels . But everything else was perfect."

"The only thing I have not rated as excellent is 'comfort and equipment', because it is a bit dated. But otherwise really lovely, and the view from the 'octagon tower' windows is brilliant. Very spacious, private parking and right facing the sea. Helpful owner too."

"We all loved the house, the only issue was the heating , it seemed to come on in the middle of the night as it got very hot, but in the day especially as the weather was bad it didn’t stay on long enough so after breakfast it got quite chilly and draughty"

"Lovely and comfortable, beds really comfortable, nicely decorated, good view from window. Welcome pack included tea , milk and biscuits, and a bottle of red wine, which we did not drink as we prefer white. Will come again next year. Wall behind the toilet needs looking at, it would be good to have instructions for oven and what to put in the bins. We love Cromer and have been coming here for many years."

"Surf Cottage exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything one might need and was well designed. The cottage was very spacious and tastefully furnished throughout. The outdoor courtyard area to sit in was an added bonus. Great position with shops, pubs, eateries and the sea front right on the doorstep. I would love to return for another stay. Thanks too for the Welcome Gift goodies, Richard and Fran."

"My stay was comfortable, but due to regulations, the windows could only open 6 inches. I came on the hottest weekend of the year and the room was 25 degrees at night without a breeze. I have suggested a fan for such nights in the future. This was a lovely stay and Richard is very helpful. I can recomment this B&B to anyone who is looking for a close to the centre/beach holiday in Cromer. I would hope to return again. Thank you Richard."

"Beautifully decorated, super clean and some lovely touches on arrival. Everything available that you could need.Could’ve done with a couple of chairs for the beautiful courtyard. Perfect spot for a cuppa and a bacon sandwich though. Thank you for a lovely stay. "
