"Good check in and room was perfectly ok. Everything you'd expect :) However, if one of your lifts breaks then please get it fixed ASAP? A full Hotel with only one small lift is annoying to say the least, especially when everyone is checking out! Secondly, I realise that weddings mean a lot to businesses like yours... But... Surely the sensible thing to do is put wedding guests staying over in the rooms above the evening function? That way, us general bookings aren't subjected to very loud music thudding through the floor into the early hours? It's not rocket science!"

"Great public areas and lounges in this grand hotel. Staff are very friendly and the hotel is very clean. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and good. Actual room was small and dated but clean and functional. Perfect location in the centre of the city, and great to stay in such a grand old hotel for a reasonable price."

"Ideal location-next to the Empire theatre and a short walk to the shops and waterfront. Slight downside of being next to the rail station as the noise is constant until the last train at midnight. Rooms are spacious with clean and comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Very warm in rooms and hotel in general-no air con. Breakfast was decent-reasonable choice of hot and cold food. All staff helpful and friendly. Overall good value."
