"Church House was perfect for me and my three teen grandsons to explore Sao Miguel. There was plenty of room to spread out, inside and outside. The kitchen was well equipped, but be sure to buy ground coffee. There is no coffee grinder. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and very clean. The beds are comfortable. The washer and dryer were great to have and laundry detergent is supplied. I did learn to empty the water reservoir in the dryer into the toilet after every load. I had never seen a...

"It’s a beautiful setting in the garden. The home is roomy and cozy, it has everything you need. It had a musty smell which is typical, I kept the windows open always which got rid of the smell. Windows have screens which is much appreciated! It is below another apartment so you do hear some footsteps and noise. This is why I didn’t give it full stars. You can sometimes hear dogs and loud cars in the distance but it’s not too bothersome."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in La Nouvelle in Mosteiros, which is about a 40 minute drive from Ponta Delgada. The view from the place is just spectacular.
