The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect."

"The accommodation was spotlessly clean. Rooms were well-appointed with fabulous bathroom and quality toiletries. Tea pigs tea and Tan y Castell Welshcakes were a cut above, as well as Ty Nant bottled water. The mattress and pillows were lovely quality. Rooms had minimalist furniture creating uncluttered calming space. The full Welsh breakfast was impressive, cooked to order. Unlimited juices, cereal and toast. Friendly, efficient staff. "We had a lovely stay at the Royal Oak. Hannah was extremely helpful and was quick to respond when i accidentally deleted the message with the keycode! The room was extremely comfortable and clean. We had a superb meal in the pub, and the staff were very friendly. The room was peaceful and quiet, and we enjoyed the views and a glorious sunset.
