"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

"Room was clean but had to ask for toilet rolls and coffee. Staff very friendly. Had to ask for butter for toast at breakfast. Location very good easy parking. My only issue was the bathroom had to climb steps to get into bath when you are both pensioner was not very safe. We enjoyed our stay anyway "
