The staff were amazing and helpful. I came to do my family tree research as my Great Grandfather was born in Llandovery as was his family. So nice to go to a few places where they were born and died.
Very nice stay, would return.
Floorboards in room a bit creaky and was worried about the noise I was making in the room below. A few stains on bedding, but overall a really relaxing stay and fantastic breakfast.

Lovely hotel great location free car parking at back of hotel with reminders to register car number plate at reception.
We stayed 2 nights in one of their suites with a 4 poster bed and Lovely furnishings, the bathroom was equipped with a roll top bath .
We had evening meal on the first night which was delicious and ,we could not fault the service .
Full Welsh Breakfast in the morning again excellent with unlimited tea, coffee, orange juice and selection of cerials and fruits.

Hotel is a bit run down, needs a few bits tidying up. Curtain pole hanging off in room and down lighters hanging down from ceiling. The mattress in the particular room I stayed in probably needed throwing out about 2 years ago, it was the worst nights sleep I’ve had for a while. Breakfast was good though.
Room small and stuffy. Bedside light flickered therefore couldn’t use to read at night. Dusty. Carpet marked and hadn’t been vacuumed. Television didn’t work properly. Mattress poor, every spring could be felt. White wine served in glass straight from dishwasher. It was so hot I could barely pick it up. The fish we had was overcooked and dry. Check out was very “Fawlty Towers “
The room we paid for was different from the picture. Instead of a sofa, a bunk bed was in the separate sitting area. The manager was not helpful saying it was not their fault fault that the picture was not updated and threatened to walk away instead of resolving the issue by accusing my husband speaking loudly at him. He suggested us pay for an upgrade. We refused and he downgraded us, but telling us he had upgraded us with no extra charge. I had seen the pictures of the types of room when i booked the hotel so i knew we were downgraded. The breakfast was not good. The room floor is severely slanted.

Hyggelig. For varmt rom og det kunne bare åpnes 1vindu mot veikrysset med mye trafikk. Ellers sjarmerende og god mat.

A large hotel that has seen better days. Heating was on so not comfortable in room, which looked out on rooftops and had an extractor over the kitchen I think, which kept you awake. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Good central location in the town.
Nice hotel good central location in the town. Very friendly staff food was excellent and service first class. The room was dated and fairly cold for December. The cost was reasonable for the room but need to get the heating fixed.

Our stay amended Fri 24 Sept 25 Sept only due to family wedding arrangements
We liked the spacious room en suite ,nicely presented.
The only down comment was the stair case, stairs were uneven due to the old building ( like our selves ! )
All food, breakfast and evening meal excellent
If in this area again we would return to this hotel.
All round excellent value.
Highly Recommended

A quirky hotel with lots of character. Room not massively clean but comfortable. Food on first night much better than second. We booked a specific table for the second night and it was given to someone else and we were told it was so we could have a quieter area that was then joined by a table with 6 children. The service was very abrupt from one particular member of staff and the food on the second night was poor and mostly overcooked. The breakfast was good as was the service at breakfast.

Good location. Easy parking. Our dinner booking had not been registered despite having used the hotel email and subsequently phoned. Otherwise lovely old hotel.
