"Absolutely fantastic stay the room was amazing and the staff were so welcoming . The restaurant nice and cozy serving top notch food and good portions also. "Yes, pet friendly there were dogs around but didn’t cause a problem for us. Nice that they accommodate for pets. Staff were very friendly and helpful lounge to sit in, bar, etc. Evening meal was discounted by 10% as we were staying in the hotel. Parking was a bit tight and it is first come arrangement. We had the last space on day of arrival (3.30pm) second day again only one space left by 4pm. Due to age of the building the decor is very much Victorian dark wood, walls and curtains. Sash windows rattle when the wind is blowing in the bedroom we just placed some folded card to stop the rattle. Beds were clean and towels etc were replenished. Breakfast staff very helpful especially Linda who went out of her way for me. In our room large king size bed, TV and kettle etc hairdryer, wardrobe, iron and ironing board, trouser press, two chairs and small table. Bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and sink. "
