The breakfast was very good, usual full English breakfast or any bits of it as preferred, with vegetarian options and usual cereals and fresh fruit salad. The building is quite old, with some odd shaped rooms, the furnishing very traditional but comfortable. If you like your accommodation modern and minimalist, this may not be for you, but I rather liked it."

"Started off really well. One of the people from The Crown (which is part of the same group and does amazing food? spotted us walking through town and came and helped us get in the front door. Went downhill from there. The room smelt of cigarettes when we arrive and there were burns in the carpet. The bathroom was filthy. There was a layer of dirt all over the floor, to the point that I thought maybe it was the cover of the floor to start with, until I realised the white bits of floor behind the bath were still white, so it was definitely dirt. Loose bits all over it as well. Bath hadn’t been cleaned and there was dirt in the overflow waste hole on the sink. Bedding and towels were very clean luckily. Tried calling but no answer. Spoke to someone in the morning and they said the manager would contact me but they haven’t. Could’ve really lovely if they sort out the cleaning"
