"I only gave it 4/5 on accuracy of the listing, because it was even better than I expected from the description. Karl, a low key, but attentive host, welcomed us with quick instructions on how to use some of the appliances, etc. The furnishings, cookware, dishes, and utensils were the best I have ever seen in a rental property—6 cutting boards! We cooked breakfast and dinner all 4 days. The setting, which overlooked Loch Eil, was rural, with sheep, birds and deer; just an incredibly peaceful place. Karl and his father built the log cabin many years ago and the craftsmanship is outstanding—a great place to hangout by a fire during rainy rest days between sight seeing. We did a long day trip to Skye and a short trip to Loch Ness’s Urquhart castle. Otherwise some excursions into fort Williams for groceries. Karl was an excellent host and the place, one of the best I have ever stayed in. Highly recommend. "
