"We stay here often and its usually a great trip but the staff is not as friendly as it used to be. I asked for an iron because the one in my room was not working and it took about 45 minutes and when she did come, it was to collect the iron and bring back another after. I explained I was trying to catch a flight and she snapped at me saying she’d be right back. After that long of time and calling twice just bring an iron from any room. Also on my second call to the front desk the guy didn’t answer the phone correctly, he just answered by saying “Im trying to get you an iron” which I find to be very unprofessional and tacky without any phone etiquette. Room 111 also has way too much pressure in the shower. I did let the front desk know but nothing was done. It it very close to giving you a shower with a pressure washer. We have to return in a few weeks and hope to get another room. On the positive, this is one of the better hotels in the area and when visiting LIU and surrounding areas. The coffee in the morning is a wonderful and welcoming detail. The hotel rooms are very clean and seem to be updated since our last visit two years ago."
