"Super friendly and helpful staff everywhere! Jose did a great job checking us in. Clean room with fridge, microwave and coffee machine. No bowls, dishes or cutlery. Comfy beds and linen. Great bathroom. But the best is that you are in the heart of the park and surrounded by beauty! Waking up to animals outside your window was lovely - we took Sequoia top floor. It’s a bit of a walk to the building from the car park but they do offer help - there were several trolleys available. We used the pizza deck and the food and drink was great! Such a wonderful time in an awe-inspiring place. Needed more time!! Will be back."
Charming House Inside the Gate of Sequoia National Park
8/10 Good
"excellent property. AC was not efficient and it was hot up to 82 degrees at night. we were told by the host that the air-conditioning will take time and we’ll get better after the sunset. They did provide two portable fans. It cooled after midnight and was 72° by morning. Advantage of not having any Sely is seeing the beautiful skyline at night time full of stars.
The kitchen was well equipped. And the manager was excellent. We’ve been very close to leaving the property for an air-conditioned hotel room, but glad we stayed. We slept on the surface in the living room because it was cooler there."
"Charming home - whether you are a Hobbit fan or not! The whimsical touches throughout the house, including a book nook, caught our attention immediately and we knew we’d make great vacation memories here. The house is well equipped for a comfortable stay with a fully stocked kitchen, AC in every room, large tv in family room, and comfy beds. A separate laundry hut and a ping pong were added bonuses. The location is unbeatable, right on the river and less than 1 mile from the Sequoia National Park entrance. Beyond Sequoia, the town of Three Rivers has great dining options, including Tony's Taverna, Sequoia Coffee and Kitchen, Three Rivers Brewing Co. and Pizza Factory. We also rented a pontoon boat on nearby Lake Kaweah."
STUNNING VIEWS, CRISP IMMACULATE MOUNTAIN TOP HOME WITH HOT TUB
10/10 Excellent
"Nice place with a great location — easy access to Sequoia and a quiet spot up in the mountains. The house is roomy and comfortable, with good outdoor space and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. The hot tub was a nice bonus after long days out. Check-in was smooth and James was easy to communicate with. Would stay again."
Oak Grove Getaway: Unique & Secluded Cabin with Breathtaking Views, Wifi
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. It had everything we needed, and the location was peaceful with great views, perfect for a relaxing getaway and to get to Sequoia National Park. The host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in and check-out very easy.
One thing to keep in mind is that the property is in a remote location, so be sure to follow the arrival instructions provided by the host. They were very helpful and made it easy to find the place. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back."
"Our tween boys said this was their favorite place they have stayed on this trip. We enjoyed the canoe, kayaks and paddle boards available for personal use on the lake. We attempted tennis, but learned we are not a tennis family. There was basketball available too and a trampoline. The kids were def loving all of the fun. And the buffet for dinner and breakfast were pretty decent. Desserts were AMAZING! We stayed in one of the personal cabins, which was nice for space and perfect for our family. We also enjoyed s'mores in the evening. Something to note, there is not a great system for your luggage and they offer wheelbarrow type carts to haul your luggage to your room/cabin/etc. It can be quite a haul, but it wasn't a deal breaker for us, might be for some. Any items that were 'dirty' or unkempt were from people leaving things out in places, can't really be the fault of the property. I'd sum this property up as a more camp type of accommodation (which it sounds like their family camp is pretty fun). Overall, I'd stay again and would suggest it for people wanting to visit the park. The location was pretty perfect."
