Town Houses in Loir-et-Cher

I'd like to echo the many positive comments about this wonderful inn. Olivier and Anne-Sophie (and their sweet dog Lady) were great hosts. The property was lovely and well maintained. Beautiful room (especially the bathroom.) Excellent breakfast. Charming town right in the heart of Chateaux country. Scenic driving and cycling through vineyards. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

It is a nice intimate atmosphere. The host and hostess are extremely nice. Dinner is also available. My wife left earrings in the room when we checked out, and we were able to get it back from the hostess in we finish exploring the west side of Loire valley!

We spent one night at La Ferme de Marpalu and absolutely loved it! The location is perfect—close to beautiful castles, with plenty of options to hike, explore, and enjoy nature. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. Ingrid and Jean-Paul are wonderfully warm and welcoming. Despite the snow and cold, Jean-Paul came out to greet us personally and gave detailed instructions so we could fully enjoy our stay. Their kindness truly made us feel at home. Wonderful private my owned hotel near chambord with cute sauna, spa and swimming pool perfect after a bike trip. Perfect breakfast with local produces. Loved it!

This property is like a B&B located in a village. It is a well maintained property with a large beautiful backyard, even a pond. The host is very helpful and kindly enough to make a phone call for me to have a dinner reservation in a local restaurant. Thank you, Caroline!

This is a very unique place! We shared a homemade breakfast with other travelers and the host was so friendly and helpful! I can’t wait to go back!

This is a guest house rather than a standard hotel, although it has standard amenities. Situated in the countryside near Chenonceau castle, the property is located in a former mill house bordering the Cher river, which some rooms overlook. The house is surrounded by a large garden, with a swimming pool, pétanque court, ping pong and access to paths along the riverside. The staff is welcoming, informed, and extremely helpful, especially with advice about restaurants and activities in the area....

Audrey, our hostess, was so friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious! We loved the local ingredients and home made yogurt, and all for a very reasonable price.

Beautiful property amazing rooms and superbe service An excellent choice

My family, including our two young children, stayed at Repère Sauvage for three nights in late June 2026, and we had a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful, with thoughtful attention to every detail, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool, the bicycles, and the delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would gladly stay here again on a future trip. Highly recommended!

The couple ( Corine and Pascal ) that own this location are great hosts. They served a nice included breakfast with fresh baked goods. There are a few considerations for this property. Try to get a room on floor 0 ( US floor 1 ) because the room I stayed in on the 1st floor ( US floor 2 ) could challenge those with mobility problems. Also the on property parking is a tight squeeze, someone with a caravan will take time to get parked. Parking is not a show-stopper, just something to be aware of....
