Good value central hotel

For the price this is a good value centrally located bed for the night. Don't expect any luxury - the shower is small, and antiquated and breakfast is a wrapped croissant and a carton of juice. It is ideal for a one night stay if you are arriving late. For the ÂŁs it is still good value - you will struggle to find any other hotel for the price

No heating at night

The heater was timed to be switched off from 11:30pm to 6:30am which was the coldest time of the day. Difficult to sleep in such coldness. The window is not double glazed. You can hear people talking from the street.

Habitacion pequeña pero para el precio y la zona, poco mas de puede pedir. En general, bastante bien para el precio y la ubicacion. La atencion tambien muy bien, nos dio referencias y nos permitieron dejar las maletas hasta medio dia ya que nuestro vuelo de regreso era por la tarde

Basic facilities at a budget price in the heart of London than this is a good Hotel. The hotel is in a quiet street for London. Remember it is cash on arrival. Fortunately the lady rang the day before to confirm arrival time & reminded me. The welcome was good & the lady helped me carry my luggage up to the first floor. It’s an old building with v high ceilings. This meant the narrow staircase is VERY steep. She explained everything you needed to know. The shower room is fine. It had everything you needed, inc shampoo, soap if you have forgotten your own. But it is a wetroom & the spray from the shower will wet the toilet seat. Just dry it off & wear shoes after a shower. The bed was very comfortable. I went late Autumn & the heating is set centrally to come on am & pm. You cannot adjust it in your room. You can open a window slightly if needed. Over the 2 nights I stayed, I opened for a short time once. The continental breakfast is packaged croissants, small fruit juices, tea & coffee. Which was fine, just know this is what is included. Many slightly dearer hotels didn’t include any breakfast. Would I stay again–if only had a small case–yes. Heavy case-possibly not. I was a tad concerned about bringing it back down the steep staircase. My solution- unpack my items into 3 large carrier bags carry those down separately then the case & repack at the bottom of the stairs. That worked fine, just different. I am close to retirement age. If younger the stairs wouldn’t be a concern.

L'établissement est bien situé, prÚs d'oxford circus et donc de Piccadilly / trafalgar square. La chambre était petite et la douche pas trÚs pratique mais ça convient quand on est toute la journée dehors. Il y a une Bouilloire et un frigo. Le gérant était sympathique.

Nous sommes restĂ©s 5 nuits au Gosfield House. Chambre cĂŽtĂ© rue avec salle de douche privĂ©e (petite mais fonctionnelle, porte sĂ©paratrice avec la chambre). Bonne literie (attention lit en 140 ; format standard chez les anglais). HĂŽtel dans le cƓur de Londres et permettant d’accĂ©der aux principaux points d’intĂ©rĂȘt rapidement par le mĂ©tro ou Ă  pied. Les propriĂ©taires sont trĂšs gentils. Ils nous ont permis de laisser nos bagages au delĂ  de l’heure de dĂ©part (vol en fin de journĂ©e). Seul bĂ©mol pour nous : le petit dĂ©jeuner en chambre.

Mauvaise expérience !

Impossible de pénétrer dans l'hÎtel avant 14 H. J'ai attendu prÚs de 2 heures devant la porte avant qu'on ne m'ouvre. Un gérant parlant italien, mais peu l'anglais et pas le français. La chambre, au 1er étage, au terme d'un escalier en pente terriblement raide. Refus pour que je rÚgle en carte bancaire ! Je vais donc au distributeur le plus proche, sur les conseils du "monsieur". A mon retour, et avant de payer, je veux m'assurer d'une connexion wifi. Il m'emmÚne au 2Úme étage, dans une piÚce fourre-tout (linge de lit sale, linge de lit propre, produits d'entretien, prises de courant guÚre rassurantes...) et tente une connexion en bidouillant des fils et tentant divers branchements. Mais rien ! C'en est un peu trop pour moi et je m'enfuis !

För ett par dagar och med rĂ€tt förvĂ€ntningar Ă€r det definitivt överkomligt. PĂ„ plussidan: LĂ€get - Mysigt kvarter med flera pubar och resturanger och 5 min gĂ„ngavstĂ„nd till Oxford Circus. VĂ€rden - Rosie, som har hand om hotellet, Ă€r jĂ€ttetrevlig och gör sitt bĂ€sta för att man ska kĂ€nna sig vĂ€lkommen. Renlighet - Rent och frĂ€scht med daglig stĂ€dning. Dock heltĂ€ckningsmatta, som pĂ„ mĂ„nga stĂ€llen i England, som drar ner renlighetsbetyget nĂ„got dĂ„ denna inte kĂ€ndes helt frĂ€sch. PĂ„ minussidan - Badrummet - Superlitet badrum som saknar riktig dörr vilket inte kĂ€nns sĂ„ charmigt. Toaletten spolar vĂ€ldigt dĂ„ligt. Duschen saknar duschslang och vattnet kommer bara rakt ner frĂ„n taket. Inget duschdraperi, man mĂ„ste ta ut allt som kan bli blött frĂ„n badrummet innan man duschar. Frukost - Det stĂ„r att frukost ingĂ„r, dock bestĂ„r denna av plastförpackade choklad-croissanter, ett par bananer plus nĂ„gon annan frukt (var olika), nĂ„n nöt/havre-bar och multivitamin-festis som dagligen sattes in pĂ„ rummet. Övrigt - Smala, branta trappor utan hiss. Ingen reception, man mĂ„ste lyckas fĂ„ kontakt med hotellet för att bestĂ€mma nĂ€r man ska komma och checka in om man kommer vid annan tid Ă€n incheckningstid. SĂ€ngen - Man ligger rakt pĂ„ madrassen och kĂ€nner varenda fjĂ€der i sĂ€ngen, vilket skapade en del ryggvĂ€rk.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer gebucht und erhielten ein kleines Apartment mit eigenem Eingang, Bad und voll ausgestatteter KĂŒche. Das Mobiliar ist bunt zusammen gewĂŒrfelt und schon etwas Ă€lter, aber zweckmĂ€ĂŸig und bequem, die sanitĂ€ren Einrichtungen und das Bett sind gut bis sehr gut und der Schlaf-/Wohnraum ist gerĂ€umig. Die Lage ist top und Rosie als Vermieterin einfach ein Schatz! Sehr empfehlenswert! Wir kommen gerne hierher zurĂŒck.
