Stayed here a couple of times now and I really love it! Great value, wonderful location and a quaint little neighbourhood location. I love the walk to Farringdon in the morning.
London is a very expensive city to get somewhere to stay, so this was a really good option for the price. Nice neighborhood around the area with a ton of good restaurant choices. Locals are around the area and sometimes during the week days there were farmers markets/stalls for food here too. Great coffee shop nearby. Was a little far from train stations, 10-15 minute walk to get to the main ones like circle line or elizabeth, but again for this price you are not going to get anything better.
Overall the apartment was a good size for the location and super convenient, unfortunately the toilet had remains from the last user still in there and there was debris on the floor of the bedroom. Generally the bathroom was a little tired feeling, tape on the shower pole etc. The fan was appreciated as the apartment was extremely hot but I did stay during exceptionally hot weather. The curtains were too thin to allow me to sleep past sunrise so replacing those with blackout curtains would have increased my comfort considerably. Really easy to check in and the area felt safe. Just more attention to detail in cleaning would be good.
The check in was a bit of a faff but otherwise the apartment is really good.
The location is great, I know this area a little bit and love going back. There is a supermarket very close by and plenty of bars and restaurants.
It is a little rough around the edges when you look closely (some plug sockets have seen better days and the mattress could do with an upgrade) but the apartment is well appointed.
You could easily spend a few days here and be very satisfied with your choice of accomodation.

Doors between bedroom and living-room, as well as between bedroom and bathroom are made of glass with large gaps under and over. That means zero noise or (in case of bathroom) smell insulation. To top it, bathroom door has no handle from the side of bedroom, so you can only close it from the inside. Once you are out, it stays open. All smells and damp go into the bedroom. Everything in the apartment is done "quickly-fix-it-who-cares", so parts of the kitchen furniture fall onto your toes, for example. We were happy we had just one night here. Ok for a night for low price. Pretty quiet at night, close to metro.
I was worried after reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Clean and comfortable. Only recommendation would be the bedroom drawers need fixing but no biggie. Lovely big shower. Lots of stairs to the top floor but no problem if you’re fit. The staff are very friendly
We found the staff very nice and helpful. When we had any queries they were happy to help in a timely manner which made the journey from Manchester much less stressful.
The apartment itself was great, kitchen fully equipped which was a bonus.
Check in was easy and having a keycode rather than an actual key was more practical.
Everything worked fine and it is very central so we managed to walk everywhere instead of taking public transport.
Overall, I would definitely stay again and would recommend this place. Thank you for having us!

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Disliked: Staff & service
My biggest issue was with the support services - I discovered a completely clogged shower drain in my bathroom upon checking in, rendering the shower completely unusable for fear of flooding the entire bathroom. However staff were unable to provide maintenance until the next day and tried to tell me it was okay for me to leave the unit while they did the work (not remembering that I am desperately waiting for a shower and cannot go anywhere until that happens?? very low contextual awareness). No discount or refund was offered. I also pre-ordered room service during my stay, but when it wasn't provided, I finally emailed 2 days before checkout to ask for the charge to be refunded to me as I had already done all the cleaning. My request for a refund was again rejected and they immediately scrambled to provide room service for a unit that had already been cleaned by me and did not need it. Extremely poor experience interacting with the support staff; they made my stay exponentially worse than it otherwise would have been.
Location is fantastic - easy access to London Underground, supermarkets, restaurants, and local outdoor food market. Close proximity to universities means there's plenty of students out, very safe place.
Apartment building itself is great; easy access thru codes on door lock to building and to each unit. However, it sucked that there's no elevator and I wasn't warned beforehand, so lugging up my heavy suitcase two flights of stairs was painful.
Stayed for a (self-funded) business trip Tuesday-Thursday and was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and well-equipped the apartment is. It is very much self-service - ahead of travel, you are required to send ID / pay a deposit, but having done so the check-in process was extremely smooth.
The Old Street StayInn is a short (15 minute) walk from the City, and in a very quiet area - I enjoyed two very good and uninterrupted nights' sleep - and the apartment was suitably spacious, well-equipped and clean to allow me to relax there on an evening, so as to enjoy a leisurely commute into the office the next day! Pret/Waitrose can be found a very short (2 min) walk away.
Admin team were responsive on email, and for the relatively low-cost for what is a prime location, I would highly recommend staying here, so much so I have booked again next week for the Aldgate property.
Kitchen stuff all dirty. 3rd floor with no lift and no warning about it. Glass doors everywhere, and thin curtains, so light everywhere making hard to sleep. Sofa's dirty.
Great apartments these with food on the doorstep, a pub and an all round lovely city aesthetic. Minutes from Old Street, Barbican and Farringdon. Can’t recommend these enough.
Stayed here twice now and both times happy with the rooms.
You have to give card details for £250 deposit but get it back once you leave.
Nice and central for London
Nice amount of space but needs a bit of TLC. Heating didn’t work in the bedroom, wall was damaged near the radiator in the living room and shower was very low pressure
Lovely small apartment for family of three. For cleaness could take more notice. Late checkout is available, for us it was 11 am and it cost 15 £ how ever the the cleaner came at 10:30 am so we actually got 30 min of late checkout... overall nice place to be, 30 minutes from Westminster station by underground.
