Despite some negative reviews I found this an entirely passable and even comfortable stay. It is an old pub so as with all old buildings it has some wear and tear but that’s part of the charm. Super location, owner is a complete champ! Would stay again for sure!

Downstairs bar absolutely lovely and the staff were amazing and very helpful, the room was nice overall though a few minor issues. In general a nice place to stay for short stays.

Check in was slow upon arrival, room small but adequate, some of the fixtures & fittings were loose or broken including a floor tile. But bed really comfortable & had a good night’s sleep as it’s a lovely quiet area & shower also good. No breakfast option which would have been handy.

This was my first time staying at a Pub/Hotel mix. I would definitely recommend it to people who are traveling light , as the stairs going up to the rental are narrow and winding. The manager of the hotel - Bhargav - was extremely helpful in making my stay comfortable and helping me arrange morning transportation to Paddington station. I can't thank him enough for the help and concern he showed towards me and my wife. He is a true asset to this establishment. I will definitely come back again - but with fewer bags

Avoid this one - 10:30check out and flight of stairs - torn curtains - dirty - carpets not vacuumed. Even though only 3 guests checking out wouldn’t give any extension even for payment - doesn’t need 5 hours between checkouts and check ins for cleaning 3 rooms. Just gave the impression don’t care about customers. Paintwork disgusting.

This property done the job for us near the baker street ,,/Marylebone/edgware underground easy access from Liverpool Street station staff nice okay stairs would be an issue for older people but heyho look at Amsterdam stairs the hotel was quirky nice bar underneath food etc room was descent a bit small but done wot it says on the tin you want fancy you pay for fancy good shower though

Great place to stay

This was a great place to stay. Very quiet area with great links. The room was excellent for our needs. Clean, comfortable and in good condition. Were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay. I will be returning when I have gigs to attend in London.

Quiet location, super close to Hyde Park, restaurants, shopping areas and pubs. The room was good, just a little small if you are staying longer - but if you are out all day and just sleeping/showering it won’t matter! Wi-Fi worked great, the shower was awesome.

If you simply want a bed then unison’s, Not very clean, Electric points don’t work, Carper very grubby throughout. TV and curtain rail hanging off wall. Just a little attention to detail and this could be a nice place.

The staff was friendly, and the cost performance was reasonable. If I were staying alone, I would have been quite satisfied. However, for families with children, the cleanliness was concerning, with issues like dirt and clogged drains. Additionally, be prepared to carry your suitcase up narrow stairs, as there is no elevator.

Would not recommend

Not what you expect. There was no reception in the morning and half the time there was no one to answer questions regarding the hotel stay and services. The building was cramped and not cleanly. The room had build up of dirt in crevices, on the remote, and phone.

DO NOT STAY, BED BUGS!!

Do not stay in this hotel unless you want to be eaten alive by the bed bugs living here. Unfortunately I realised too late and a week later I was covered head to toe in bites. I seem to have had an allergic reaction to them too so became quite unwell. Have spent a fortune now on decontaminating all our belongings and a new bed. We emailed the hotel to warn them to deal with the problem but they weren’t interested, didn’t even reply.

Unfortunately this hotel was not worth what we paid. I would recommend looking elsewhere. If it was a quarter of the price, maybe it's ok. The staff (owner?) was nice enough and even offered luggage storage on our way out in the morning (not that I would want to leave my luggage in an area like that). The bathroom was probably the best part of the whole experience. The room was so small and was up three flights of stairs (no elevator or second fire exit/stairs). The room didn't look like the one that is shown when you book the room type. The comforter was dirty/stained and there was some hairs in the sheets. There is a bar on the first floor but we didn't even try to go down given the pretty rough location. Overall I think this is case of someone thinking they can handle running a hotel but the whole effort is DOA. Save your self the regret and stay closer to the city

Disappointing

I ordered a stay with breakfast included as the Hotels.com (and the hotel's own website) showed photos of a lovely breakfast buffet. However, we learned at arrival that they no longer served a breakfast buffet - they ended that possibility a long time ago. They did however offer a complimentary breakfast (a juice box and some crackers to go. Not exactly great compared to the buffet from the website). The facilities were old, but somewhat cozy, but wires hanging from the tv and stains of paint on the walls were not helping the atmosphere. In addition, the room was not well cleaned. It was allright on the surface but just move the night stand a little and find all kinds of old sticky stuff that had been lying there for god knows how long. On a positive note: The staff was really sweet and helpful! But I would highly recommend removing photos of the breakfast buffet as it is just false advertising.
