Fantastic Spacious Apartment with Stunning Uninterrupted Views
Located in West Looe, Trade Winds is the ground floor flat of a converted house which dates back to the late 1890's. Uninterrupted views of the Harbour, East Looe, Beach and out to Sea can be seen from the Large Bay windows/door in the Lounge and the main bedroom.
Set back from the main road, the property has its own entrance at the front accessed via the path from the road.
Looe is built around an estuary which leads to the sea and most of the properties in West Looe are built on the hillside. The access to Trade Winds is via a zig-zag ascending slope from the road. There are also steps up to Hannafore Lane which runs along the back of the house.
Unfortunately we don't have parking at the property, but there is free on street parking available on Hannafore Point (5-10 mins walk) or Pay and Display car parks on West Looe Quay (2 mins walk) or the Mill Pool Car Park (5 min walk along the harbour). You can stop close to the property to unload/load.
The property has been completely refurbished (April 2017) with new furnishings throughout, but mixed with some original features to maintain the properties character.

The views were as it says uninterrupted and wonderful! The Apartment was a good size for a family of four, and this made our stay in Looe wonderful. The beach is a 20-25 minute walk away, with a number of restaurants on the opposite side of the apartment, with the train station a 15-20 minutes walk away.
I would like to add that when you book your stay, I do not think it is the guests place to empty bins, we have paid to stay at the property, it is not the job of the guests to get involved in the upkeep or cleaning of the apartment, I expect a management company or a separate arrangement to cover this. No extra bin bags were provided for this, and the local shops are more expensive than your average supermarket.
As part of my week’s stay, I expect bin bags to be provided, baking trays to be useable, some extra kitchen towels, and some basics like salt and pepper to be provided. The apartment needs regular airing too as there is a slight damp smell in the rear areas of the apartment.
Perfect place to enjoy your morning sitting on the porch overlooking the sea and the town.

The position was excellent immaculate apartment with everything you need ,lovely views and the good weather was a bonus and will come back in the near future.
Great location in West Looe with a fantastic view of the harbour. The property was very clean and well equipped. we really enjoyed our stay especially evenings and sunny mornings on the terrace
This apartment has stunning views over the harbour and sea . The apartment is cosy and comfortable and we loved sitting in the bay window looking at the view . It’s a short walk to East Looe which its vibrant little streets and pubs and restaurants and lovely sandy beach .
A lovely apartment in a great position in Looe close to good walks the town close by and plenty of independent shops/restaurants/coffee shops within a 10 min walk. The accommodation is warm and welcoming and really spacious for 4 people the view from the lounge was amazing! We will love to return 😊
Lovely , clean apartment in a Victorian house overlooking Looe harbour .
Attention to detail , we stayed over Christmas, and there was a decorated Christmas tree and fairy lights outside on the balcony . Nice touch !
Only one criticism, the duvets were not thick enough for the winter ! ! Overall we loved our stay .
If you’re looking for spectacular views then this is the place for you. It’s quite a steep path up to the house but it’s worth it.

Lovely flat
We hope we left this flat close to the same pristine condition as we found it. The views are spectacular. The only problem is the difficult access on foot and by car. My wife and I are in our sixties and managed to get our luggage in ok, although I wouldn’t call it easy. But after she injured her knee, access became a nightmare.
We had a lovely stay and thoroughly enjoyed the views and proximity to the town and beaches. We had some excellent food in Looe and were lucky with the weather. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the hosts were helpful and quick to respond. Overall, an excellent stay.
Another lovely stay in this welcoming apartment in a great spot for East and West Looe and good access to walks in this beautiful town we will be back!

Having stayed in and around Looe many times over the years, this is without doubt our favourite place to stay so far. Great location, amazing views, and clean, spacious and homely accommodation. Will definitely look to stay here again in the future.
