Summary: This bright and spacious bungalow for four is located on a quiet cul-de-sac just a stones throw from Looe Beach.
The Space: Inside, you will find an open-plan kitchen and diner that is well-equipped with everything you could need. There is an electric hob, an oven, dishwasher, toaster, washing machine and coffee-making equipment, as well as a selection of cook books so you can put it all together! Connected to the kitchen is the light and airy dining room, which has a lovely wooden dining table, pendant lighting and homely furnishings. Next door, the living room has been decorated with crisp white walls, pretty floral curtains and two comfortable sofas. From here you can gaze out of the massive window over the valley. The TV comes with a DVD player and games console, which is perfect for rainy days with the kids. There is also a desk space and speedy WIFI for those looking to enjoy a working holiday.
The master bedroom is located at the front of the property, boasting pretty views of the surrounding countryside and estuary. Nothing beats waking up in the comfortable king-sized bed to a cup of tea and views! The room also has ample storage space for clothes so you can pop your suitcase away and really feel at home. At the back of the bungalow is a further bedroom with two single beds which can be made up as a king on request. These share a family bathroom equipped with both a shower and bath, as well as a separate WC next door. The property is also well-equipped for young children, providing a cot, high-chair and children's dinnerware.
Outside, there is a pretty garden with an outside dining set for sunny alfresco dinners. From the back garden there is a gate which leads directly into a meadow with sea views. From here you can take a beautiful coastal walk, which is also a handy short cut down to Looe. The bungalow's quiet yet convenient location makes it the perfect place to enjoy pretty Looe and everything it has to offer! Private parking space for 1 car.

The Neighborhood: The bungalow is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in Looe, just a stones throw from the beach and harbour. You can walk to the water's edge within 10 minutes, and here you will find a great selection of shops, cafes and pubs. The seaside town of Looe keeps visitors entertained all year round whilst still retaining a working fishing port. Stand on the quayside in the evening and watch the boats return before dining on fresh fish in a local restaurant. The town prides itself on it's fresh fish, so it's not difficult to find award winning fish and chips! We'd suggest trying The Old Sail Loft, Smugglers Cott and The Sardine Factory for dinner - but do book as it can get very busy in high season!
Looe Beach is a great spot for families, offering soft golden sand and safe swimming conditions. It is easily accessible from the property, just a 10 minute walk! We'd also recommend taking a trip out to Looe Island, once a holy pilgrimage site now a a sanctuary for rare plants and wildlife. It’s here you’ll find a grey seal population sunbathing on the rocks!
Looe is also a great place for walking and the South West Coast Path passes right through the town. From here, you can walk all the way to Seaton or south to Polperro. You're in a brilliant spot to explore Cornwall's gorgeous south coast. Within a 25-minute drive, you could be on the white sand beaches of Lantic Bay and in 45-minutes in bustling Fowey.
Getting Around: Due to the remote nature of Cornwall, we would suggest visiting with a car. That being said, the property is conveniently located within walking distance of many of Looe's amenities including the beach and harbour. There is 1 carport outside the property with space for 1 vehicle.
There is also a train station in Looe with regular trains running to Liskeard - this is a 14-minute walk from the property. At Liskeard, you can pick up one of the regular trains that runs from Penzance to London Paddington - stopping off at Exeter St Davids, Bristol, Bath and Reading.

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Looe. The cottage is perfectly suited to a family of four, very bright, airy and spacious; the photos really do not do the place justice. Ideally situated a 10 minute (steep!) walk to the beach and harbour, with many excellent restaurants offering the freshest seafood. We also enjoyed the stunning views as you step outside the back garden gate and the gorgeous sunsets from the large window in the front room. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others.
From our experience, we feel the state of the property means it is overpriced and oversold. Despite the accuracy of stunning views and a very peaceful and quiet location, we were very disappointed with our stay there. We had problems accessing the property initially, we had to ask for basic equipment to be provided in the kitchen such as washing up bowl, tin opener that wasn’t rusty, cooking utensils and wine glasses and dishes suitable for the oven. We had black mildew and mould in the shower and bathroom all of which the host did resolve fairly promptly. However, some of our other issues were not addressed.
Furthermore the statement about storage is inaccurate as there are no drawers suitable for clothing in either bedroom and an unpleasant odour of damp in the lounge and bedroom. We vacated the property early when the electricity supply kept cutting out tripping the fuses which we eventually discovered were in the garage.
We would also add that this property would be quite challenging for anyone with mobility problems dues to the steps and steepness of access on foot to the beach. Thankfully this was not one of our issues.
Wonderful family get away to Cornwall. The location of this property is breathtaking. Amazing views at the front of the property and from the garden you are straight out onto the meadow on the cliffs with unbeatable sea views and access to the beach. We had an amazing time. Thank you 😊
