"The ocean view rooms actually have full on views of the ocean. This is a very quaint and incredibly well located lodge in the area of Summerland. Management is a little bit uptight in terms of process. It could be a turn off to some people. They're not disruptive and they are not invasive. But they will hound you to death in terms of what time you're going to arrive. Also moving rooms or changing rooms with another name is overly complicated. For example a friend I was traveling with had a last-minute job which did not allow them to use their room. They simply wanted to give the room to a friend, but because the room was in their name the hotel made that much more complicated than it needed to be to switch. But I would still recommend this place to everyone. Very clean very well kept in great location."

"Short drive to hikes and good restaurants. Nice view while eating breakfast at the house, and had a great breakfast at the Summerland Beach Cafe which is a short walk. If you make coffee, use the Krups over the Mr. Coffee which is very slow. The hosts were very responsive to questions. Would definitely stay here again!"

"We loved staying at this cute cottage. The only bummer was that we didn’t get to hang out at the property for extended time due to being in town for a lacrosse tournament, but would love to go back. The coffee shop down the street has GREAT coffee and the bookstore “Godmothers” is the coziest I’ve ever been to. "

"The view if the ocean and the mountains were beautiful from the 1st floor and 2nd floor balconys (1st floor have 2 swing hamock chairs, table and chairs and a grill)and the living room upstairs. The only downside is there is a freeway in between the house and ocean. I could only hear the trafic. The house was very clean and welcoming. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms, both had a queen bed in them. There is also a full bath and a living room with a sofa and a small tv. Coffee was really good they provided. The kitchen a counter with 2 bar stools. The kitchen is small but had no issues other than the stove runs VERY hot. 350 is more like 425. Table is a nice size round table with 6 chairs. The ground floor had a living room with a sectional and large tv. The 3rd bedroom is on this level with a king bed(not very comfortable. Had a topper on it.) There was a nice size bathroom attached to the room and living room. Loved the make up wash cloth.There is a spiral staircase that went to the 2nd floor but if you are not comfortable going down them or have dogs you can use the stairway outside to get to the ground floor. This level also has a washer and dryer and they supply detergent and softner sheets and spot remover. Appreciated it! There is a doorway that goes to the 2nd big deck. There is a big sectional on the deck. If you look straight forward you see trees. If you look to the left you see the freeway and ocean. We felt safe and secure. Nice area. The house is spacious. "
