Urine hotel
Appalling, dirty, room not stocked properly, no toilet paper no towels to wipe the kitchen counter, floor hasn’t been washed in a while, and no instructions were sent to me on how to get a key to enter the building. Parking lot people rude ad the lot smelled so strongly of urine I think it permeated our clothing. Then of course, the smell continues inside the hotel hallways. I want my money back, and also , I will never again go through Hotels.com.
Checked into room just fine.....when arrived to apartel that we are staying at found broken window....missing window treatments....when we left for the day I received a call about the window.....and I returned to the door partially open and not latched.... luckily we found nothing missing...also found the door would unlatched if jiggled hard...called about this concerns and was told they would call back.....after 20 minutes of nothing I called.... apparently management is off weekends....not very happy
The first room had an issue with plumbing which was causing a smell in the room. When we used the commode it over flowed cause it was clogged by previous person who stayed. We called customer service and with in minutes they moved us to another room. That room was amazing. Clean and comfortable. Great service and location for couples and friends. I will definitely check in here again! Thank you for your prompt response and resolution! :)

Not bad
This hotel charges you of $160 per stay for maintenance (just check the bottom of the page).
If you'll stay for more than three or four nights, this hotel may be a candidate since the daily payment becomes like $50; otherwise, you'll end up giving this hotel one star.
You need to check-in at a office, which is a mile from the apartment.
The clerks were polite. The room was better than I expected, but the fridge smelled.
Ok. So if you wanna go there, keep in mind that they will charge you U$ 160,00 for cleaning.
The hotel is located at Hollywood walk of Fame and that is the only good point to be fare.
They gave me a room that is located under a club and at the side of another club and the noise are terrible it is impossible to sleep before 3 am.
There is a exit door at the right side of the room and people walk in and walk out 24 hours and every time this door closes will give you a "slaaaaammmm" right inside your head.
The sound isolation on this place is terrible, there is no sound isolation. I could hear people having sex and talking on the other rooms.
That was the worst experience I had in my life. 2 days for $ 286,00 and I couldn't even get some hours of sleep.
Don't go there.
And during the late night you might see some very drunk people trying to get in your room.
The hotel was overall a good hotel, and the location was great. But we were charged $160 for a cleaning fee, which wasn't mentioned anywhere, and since we were only at the hotel from 10pm till 8am the next day, I think $160 is a lot of money.
1. They didn't tell me that I had to walk a block and a half to a leasing building to get the information to check into my room. I found out upon arrival that it's not a hotel.
Which was confusing considering on the website Hotels.com it doesn't mention anything that people actually live there and that's it's a apartment building and that a rental company owns certain rooms and rent them out for visitors.
2. The toilet was backed up and every time we had to use the restroom we had to plunge it in order for the water to go down. I was only there for two nights but by the second night it had overflowed on to the floor. Again this is not a hotel it's an apartment building so issues like the toilet over flowing doesn't get addressed right away and you have to contact the front desk building which is a block and a half away.
3. The major complaint is the door code. There are two doors you have to go through to get to the elevator useing a code. the outside door from the street and the door that lets you in to the actual apartment building. The code worked on the outside door but when it came to going into the actual building to go to our room the code would not work. this happened every single time we tried to go back into our room. We would have to sit in between the two doors and hope and wait another guest or a tenant would be coming down So we could get to our room Our wait for some one from the front desk office a block and a half away to let us in.
Spend over 1,000 dollars on my stay came in and my room was DIRTY! Staff tooK TWO days to come clean my room and all they want to refund is 70 bucks SMH
Here is the short version because I don't have time for the long version.
- There was a $160 cleaning fee for a one night stay. I only noticed this in the fine print of the listing after booking the non-refundable room
- The address listed of the property was not where I was staying but the building where I pick up the keys. I was staying 3 blocks down the road. Not a big deal for me but if I was someone who had walking issues this could have been since at night Hollywood blvd. near the Egyptian Theater is not the best neighborhood to walk around.
- The room was on the bottom floor. Loud noises came from the club (I think) across the way and people in the streets with boomboxes. Lights from cars would shin in the window regularly. The wire around the windows didn't look to sturdy from anyone on the street pushing it in to get into the room.
- around 12:30am after a few hours of trying to sleep I went and got another hotel room. When I told the staffer this when I turned in the key they didn't really care. When I told them what room I was in they basically said, "yea, that happens in that room."
Would highly NOT recommend staying here!
The booming music from the
Adjacent club was till like 3am. Pleople wandering the halls. People with no password looking to sneak in ( most aggressive). Would not want the room they gave me again it was NOTHING LIKEthe pictures they show ya.

Inconvenient and Noisy Hotel.
A great location and decent room, but you have to check in/out at a different building 3 blocks away. Old, single-pane windows means very noisy until 3 am...better bring ear-plugs. No hot water in the morning makes for no shower as well. Property managers were extremely courteous and helpful, but they add a $160 cleaning fee to your bill and $20 for parking.
was completley out of the way, you have to go check in somewhere else then walk 4 blocks to get to the actual motel, which is an apartment building that is completley weird!
English version below
This is not a Hotel !!!, these are apartments (small studio) in an apartment building.
The address we are given is not that of the hotel but the place where we have to collect the keys and you have to guess or ring to go to the rental office in order to get the keys.
On confirmation of booking no information tells us this and does not tell us or ring to pick up the keys and then we have to move to another place to go to our small studio (10 to 15 minutes of stairs with suitcases ).
Not too safe, smell of pot on the floor as we were, poorly maintained studio for a supposed 3 star hotel.
Bad experience for a first visit to Los Angeles.
Location couldn't get better !!! Great size apartment everything you needed for enjoyable stay only problem was the floor !! Our feet were black we had to wear shoes all the time needs a good scrub and the blinds a good dust but clean otherwise thanks
This review is not just about the hotel, but also my experience using Hotels.com.
Not a person who usually complains but felt I needed to share with potential renters.
First off the address for the hotel is just an office. The actual hotel is five blocks down. Getting a key alone and dropping it off when you check out will add an extra half hour to your arrival and depature times. When you're in a hurry this will be inconvenient for sure.
Communication was horrendous. There was a problem with my transaction. I took an hour to fix it over the phone with three different phone calls while I was at the airport. When I arrived at the office, whoever the middle man service was I had just spent time with fixing the issue, hadn't communicated the changes. Spent another 10 min fixing it all over again.
Parking will cost you an extra $20.
The room looked clean and spacious. But it smelled like dirty diapers and burnt toast. Great location but what a headache.

Not as advertised...noisy at night
The pull-out couch was too small to accommodate an adult so we had to use the roll away cot. The downstairs locked doors did not always open with the given code, the apartment door was difficult to lock, and the bathroom door did not latch. The rotating shelf unit, used to access the closet and the cot was extremely difficult to move. We were uninformed that downstairs in the building immediately below the apartment was a very noisy dance club which opened most nights around 10 p.m. and had pulsing music and noisy crowds in the street until at least 2:30 in the morning. It was very hard to get a good night's sleep!

Probably good for the money, but...
The place where you check in is located a full FOUR BLOCKS from the actual "hotel" room itself, and the room is actually an apartment. The location is on the far end of the Hollywood walk of fame. Because of all of the goings on during the evenings in Hollywood, its quite noisy until around 3:30AM, but I've experienced that at the Roosevelt as well. Better bring some ear plugs and I'm not kidding about that! The furniture in the unit was quite old. Perhaps a polite term is "rustic"... But the room is quite large, having multiple closets, full kitchen, even washer/dryer. I'd probably stay there again, but it's not a slam dunk...
Ray W is a part of Genosi Apartlets. Apartments for rent. The location is GREAT! The price is reasonable. Hollywood is expensive! I would stay here again. Great value for the money.
Ray Suites is really Ginosi Apartels. We were given what is really a large studio apartment on Hollywood Blvd. in the Hillview Apartment building. Some units are used as hotel rooms and some are for residents. Full kitchen with plates, glasses, etc. There was a washer and dryer with detergent in the unit. Only a couple of blocks to the metro. Worked out well and was safe. No room service and daily room cleaning was extra. But the price was right and room was spacious. There was street noise because of the location but the inside of the building was super quiet, even on the weekend. Only issue is that I didn't know I was getting all of this (full kitchen, etc.) when I selected the location. Listing on Hotels.com wasn't very clear and I'm not sure I would get the same thing if i selected again. Other than this, was very pleased.
