I received a message from the host, Mike, saying that the property was no longer available because 'something came up'. I was unable to cancel the booking through the app or the website for a refund. I called and waited for 45 minutes on hold with VRBO and gave up and called my credit card to dispute the transaction. Mike later text me following the missed booking that I still needed to call VRBO to get a refund. I asked why he was not able to cancel it on his end and he said it was for the same reason I had of not wanting to wait endlessly on hold.
