"The Shilla Soedaemun is at the highest end of budget and none the worse for that. Breakfast is pretty good with Western and Korean options. Room are a little on the small side but quite serviceable - we found there was ample room for two. The metro station outside gives good access to Seoul’s sights, but the hotel is 20 minutes walk away from Seoul Station and there is no easy metro connection - it took us 55 minutes on the metro, most of which was spent walking from one line to another . The hotel’s “Seoul staton” monicker is very misleading"

"One of the most convenient features of this hotel is the airport limousine bus stop (Bus #6702) located right outside the entrance, making it just a short walk to the lobby. Although we were told the hotel uses a self-check-in system, I was pleasantly surprised to find a staff member available to guide us through the process. We stayed in Suite A, which features two bedrooms and an extra bed. The room was incredibly spacious, clean, and included a fully equipped kitchenette, exactly as advertised. Daily housekeeping occurred between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to empty the trash and replace used towels. For any inquiries, guests can easily message the staff via instant messaging apps like WhatsApp or Line. The B1 floor features a great food court with plenty of options for everyone; I have attached a picture of our family’s favourite stall. Additionally, the ground floor houses two CU convenience stores, a Starbucks, and a Subway. The hotel is exceptionally well-connected to public transit, and Namdaemun Market is just a 15-minute walk away. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to South Korea!"

"A very good hotel with serviceminded and helpful staff. They gave us a quiet room without us having asked for it and was available for answering our questions and making reservations for us. The breakfast restaurant was very good with a large selection of food. The hotel also has an optimal location (for our needs, at least)."

"Excellent hotel in a great location! There are plenty of public transportation options nearby, including an airport limousine bus. The hotel was clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A big advantage for me was the coin-operated washing machines. There are lots of cafés and restaurants in the area, yet the hotel itself is in a very quiet and peaceful location. I also loved the little touch of receiving a face mask every morning such a nice surprise! I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Great hotel for solo travelers on a budget. If a couple it’ll be tight but work. Location is excellent to get around Seoul. Seoul station and 3 subway lines was very helpful. Amenities in the room were good. Larger tv than expected. Shower was good temp, only unfortunate thing was my rain shower head wasn’t working. I informed the staff. Pillows and duvet excellent, bed was a bit hard. But I slept well. Washer dryer on site is excellent, they sell detergent for ₩1000 at the front desk. Rooftop patio was a nice added extra to take some pictures! I would return. Thanks ZIYOLK staff!"
