"Fantastic central location in a very grand looking building. If we're being picky the room did look a bit tired (slightly peeling wallpaper/ceiling finish/lots of regrouted tiles i the bathroom etc) BUT everything was clean, everything worked, the staff were pleasant, the bed was comfy enough for a night's sleep and the check-in and check out process was simple. Not the Ritz, but more than adequate for a night or two and at a fantastic price."

"This was my fifth stay at the Palace Hotel, I also go to Buxton Opera House to see a show. We booked dinner and breakfast at the hotel.Check in was great, very pleasant receptionist.Our evening meal last night was lovely, great service from a pleasant waitress and the meal was very tasty!
