This is my most favorite place in Idaho (I almost don't want to share it, but please leave no trace and take care of our forest.) A 2 mile mostly flat trail takes you to the edge of the Sawtooth Wilderness area. You can hike or bike in (no bikes into the wilderness area.) A few downed trees may be on trail so beaware when riding bike. Directions- just before Redfish lake lodge, parking on left, trail on right.

A short 2 mile hike from Redfish lodge brought us to this meadow where we came across this beaver dam. Spectacular scenery! There is a little haze over the mountains from forest fires in the area but that gave the mountains a more dramatic look.
