"First off this is an older hotel but it's nonetheless quite nice and comfortable. It's in a good part of town, not far from a large grocery store (important if your making any hikes, treks in the nearby parks and trails as you can then make your own sandwiches and buy ample beverages for your journeys). The room was clean and HUGE with ample parking. The bed was comfortable and the bedding, especially the pillows were excellent. The town is great, a bit quaint but inviting. I saw there were two "old school" movie theaters in operation on the main drag which if I were staying longer I would have gone to... . Local people are approachable and friendly. Again, this is an older hotel but well kept and close to everything you could want at an affordable price."

"Overall a great stay. Well supplied kitchen, comfortable beds, lots of tree shaded outdoor space. Multiple patios and seating by the creek for relaxing after days of exploring the area. Old and young would enjoy this space."

"Dan and Norma are very welcome to their place. Norma has thought of everything you may need or forgotten upon arrival. Its a beautiful place and Highly recommend your stay if you are coming in the area. My Wife and I got married while on our visit to Telluride which is just over and hour away. We also visited 4 corners. Property was close to lots of other distinctions and also away from crowds to just enjoy time away from the rush."

"The newer owners have been working on the property. The owner/ manager went out of her way to accommodate us, offering our choice between two rooms to better suit our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. If your looking for fancy, this may not be the place, but for a comfy, quiet stay, come on in."

"Lovely, spacious home! Off of the beaten path in the quiet solitude of the Canyon of the Ancients. We used it as a center station for riding to Durango, Mesa Verde, Telluride, and the 4 corners. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen large enough for any group. We had a large truck and trailer pulling 2 motorcycles and there was plenty of space for parking all of it.There’s a private back entrance into the canyon that goes right on to a trail. Wish I had more time to hike but it was a little too warm even into the evenings.Bruce was a great host and on top of communication. We had no issues while there but he checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our stay.Would definitely choose again if we come back to the area!"
