Charming Country Home near Providence Canyon

Cozy home located in historic Lumpkin, GA.
-Has two bedrooms with queen beds and ceiling fans. Two lounge chairs convert into twin sleepers as well. Sleeps 6
-Kitchen fully stocked with supplies, full washer and dryer, gas grill, big back yard with picnic table and fire pit.

**We are a pet-friendly home, but we do charge a non-refundable pet deposit of $50 per pet! Please be honest and pay for your pets, as it goes towards maintaining a dander and hair free home! Thank you!
** For the security of our property, we do have a camera in the carport monitoring the entrance, and also a motion camera in the back yard monitoring our sheds and wood stash. Any tampering of our cameras will incur an additional fee to fix. *No large groups or parties are allowed at this property.

Simply Amazing!

The house was beautiful my son called it his dream house for his 18th birthday. We got to experience the best snowfall in the most charming town. Was perfect for a travel up from Florida. Can’t wait to stay again during the summer!

Providence Canyon trip

It was really great place to stay. Super close to the canyon, fully equipped kitchen, and was decent for the price. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something affordable but close by the park

A comfortable getaway...

Millie’s home is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway in a peaceful small town. We really enjoyed the close proximity to the canyons, as well as our walk into town.

Felt very safe close to 27 so great location.

The owner was very nice the house was an older home but has been taken care of. Nice big yard. Was great to be able to walk my dogs. The place was very comfortable we really enjoyed our stay.

Convenient for Providence Canyon

We wanted to hike for a day at providence canyon and we were happy to find such a nice vrbo close by. We loved the TV room and large back yard. We enjoyed the fire pit. There is nothing in the town of Lumpkin but able to go to Columbus the next day for a family fun day.

Perfect Getaway

My family of four enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed. Even some DVD's to watch with the kids. The property owner was great to work with and responsive. It is a short drive to Providence Canyon, which was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Weekend Getaway

The house was very clean, and easy to find even in the dark. The host was very responsive and gave the check In instructions the morning of. We visited the canyon and it was beautiful and the house is very close. The only thing about Lumpkin, it is a very small town with not many food choices, so choose your food choices (either cooking or eating out) before you come. Overall the vacation was a success and we plan on visiting again, hopefully this house will be available.

Great Stay!

This home was perfect for everything we needed. We had four people hog hunting and preparing their hunting land for deer season. They were able to make the short trip back each night to a comfortable place to sleep and shower. The two of us who didn't go with them were able to explore Providence Canyon, take the easy drive to Eufaula and the Chattahoochee River, and walk around Lumpkin just to look at the old buildings. When not exploring outside we had a great house with cable and wifi to relax in. I would totally stay here again.

No Restaurants after 3:00

We were not able to stay our scheduled dates as we had to leave early. The owner was very nice on the phone and she went out of her way.

Was getting together with a good friend to relax and hike for the weekend at Providence Canyon. I have to say, everything about this place we enjoyed! Everything you need, including a crock pot and all the necessary appliances/utensils needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels in the bathroom. Couldn’t have asked for more, we will definitely come back with our wives next time! Firepit was awesome as well. A hot dog stand and bbq joint both less than a 1/4 mile walk from the place. Thank you for sharing your place with us, Millie!

Providence Canyon

The property was very clean. We purposely booked the stay to visit Providence Canyon. The property is conveniently located only a few miles from the canyon., and it’s an easy drive. Lumpkin is a very small town. We walked to one of the only restaurants in town, and enjoyed walking our dog. We quickly learned that businesses close very early. So, plan accordingly. It was a quick trip and perfect get away.

Ok stay

The property is in an extremely rural area with little to do other than the Providence Canyon park. The neighborhood is ok. Our first night we noticed surveillance cameras which was unsettling. The owners claimed they are there to “ensure the house rules are followed” which felt distrustful and intrusive. We won’t stay at a property owned by the same renters again.

So comfortable and well appointed

Our family came to Lumpkin specifically to hike the Canyon. The canyon was truly amazing. If you visit Lumpkin, check out the Richland Rum Distillery too; that was really interesting and just down the road. We are a family of 6 and generally use VRBO when we travel. From the beginning, we received excellent communication from owners. We had no issues upon arrival; everything was as expected. The home was super comfortable, spacious and well appointed. There was plenty of soap and detergent, coffee and fixings, plenty of firewood for the pit, pan spray and paper towels, paper plates salt and pepper, some other spices, toaster, mixing bowls, pans, utensils, extra bedding and blankets, towels, etc. It was very well stocked making our stay very relaxed. The home itself was nicely decorated and well maintained, obviously updated and clean. I 100% recommend. Thank you!!!

Lumpkin House

This is our second time to stay. They upgrades to the bedrooms were wonderful. We are on the area for a field trial and the location is perfect. We even hit up the Omaha Brewery as well.
