"The house was the perfect stay for our son’s wedding in Estes Park. Very clean. Beautiful views. Close to everything. Large enough for family members to gather together and hang out. Back deck was wonderful every morning. Hot tub was great after all the festivities and the wildlife walking though the property everyday was an added bonus to watch!"

"The rooms have great views of Estes park and RMNP. Staff super helpful. Nice breakfast facility - waffle maker a highlight. Rooms could use a basic makeover. Ours lacked any bedside tables or even a lamp - sounds trivial, but it’s a serious inconvenience if you want a place to put your phone and glasses."

"Enjoyed having the gallon water cooler and the Playmate cooler, we used them almost daily.Location was great, and the Elk walking through our property saved us from driving into the park with the crowds!A few noticed issues: hall bath’s shower curtain had mildew on bottom, the master bathtub looked like it wore a dirt ring from baths, and the light above the range was not working. Could have used more dishwasher pods (2 were provided for 5 guests for our 6 night stay), kleenex and a few more rolls of TP. Safeway was very convenient for our restock.Overall, we highly recommend Black Canyon Getaway!"

"The Stanley Hotel is going through major renovation now for the new film center and room expansion. We were offered a room in the Lodge since the main hotel was completely booked. This would have been no problem ordinarily, but with the construction work, we should have been notified that we had absolutely no view or privacy from the windows in our room. Also, because of the construction, parking near the hotel was severely limited, and no guidance was offered regarding alternatives when the lot was full. This was an issue especially in September with the almost daily rains. Secondly, the hotel staff had no information to offer guests about why the construction was happening and details of all of the exciting new things that would soon be coming to the hotel. There were no architectural renditions or models to showcase the new look or marketing materials to get people excited to come back in the future. This seems like a significantly missed marketing opportunity."
