If you want a place that is quiet, well kept historic lodge that is in a perfect location, then The Crags is for you. We loved our stay while in Estes Park and RMNP.

Always been a great location. New owners are really making major updates to the historic building and I hope to come back and enjoy their efforts. I was first there in the late 1940's as a youngster and some of the things I remember are still there but it is vastly improved and a wonderful place to stay!

The Crags Lodge has so much history and the picture collage helps you have a better understanding of the Jim Mills and his completive edge with Mr. Stanley The Lodge is quite and well laid out the wooden floors creaks just enough to make you pause and think of the many people who came before you. Hot tub is warm and welcoming, the Breakfast was ideal for a grab and go to get into the park before it gets crowded.

What a gem hidden among the hills above busy Estes Parks. The room was much more than what we expected. Weren’t able to enjoy the pool because of a short visit. Beautiful grounds. Breakfast was just so so….

Really nice older lodge on a hill overlooking downtown Have stayed here twice before The first time I have stayed here since Wyndham acquired the property St add not as pleasant as the old staff when it was privately owned …. Just does not feel as cozy…. Still a nice place to stay, just miss the things from the other owners .. S’mores night on Monday - making s’mores over the real fireplace in the lobby… restaurant still not open, etc

It’s a charming old hotel, we enjoy our stay but we were lucky that it was a chilly night and the open window cooled down the room really well. The floorboards creek but we didn’t mind. The room and bed were comfy and the hit popcorn near the bar was much appreciated. The bartender was absolutely lovely and very helpful.

The property was wonderful. The pool was well maintained and had equipment for the kids to use and play with. The games and activities inside were available to all. Popcorn in the evenings was a plus. Highly recommend this hidden gem!!

This was a great place to stay, but we will be looking forward to coming back again and seeing how some of the amenities have changed for the better. We recognize that they recently reopened and that there are changes that are coming, they just weren't present during our stay.
