"Old Genoa apartment is a fantastic place to stay, located in the UNESCO Listed Old Town, it's close to everything, except the new town. Walk to the train, the harbour, cafes & restaurants, funiculars pretty much anywhere of note that you'd like to go. There are 2 flights of stairs though which aren't mentioned, we are in our 60's and had 2 x 25kg cases to lift but managed it. "We stayed here for a couple of days prior to our cruise, and it was a great location for that. Check in was easy, although finding the door again can be tricky, look for the sign. One thing to note is that there is not a living/sitting room, we just sat around the dining table and chatted. Rooms are good sized ant the beds are comfortable. Better than a hotel room for a few nights, we'd stay there again."

"BE AWARE: The apartment we checked into was completely different to the pictures advertised on Expedia. We did not get what we paid for and are very disappointed with the lack of explanation, apology and compensation from the owners/managers and Expedia. This is false advertising and I would discourage anyone from staying at this property as it does not look like this – there is no natural light or windows with views, no dining table, no marble kitchen, the living area is less than half the size...
