The whole experience of staying at Highcliffe House was superb. From the small personal touches to the expert local advice as to where to eat, visit and shop. we only stayed two nights but will certainly return later in the year.
Thank you again.
Claire and Barry
We would very highly recommend staying here, the owners were really lovely people, very attentive, the breakfast lovely with plenty of choice, the room was lovely, very comfortable bed, with the extra little touches, like WiFi tablet to use, biscuits tea coffee etc.
Superb location. Probably highest house in Linton.
Unequaled views, across the Bristol Channel to Wales. Bedroom (bed in particular) was magnificent and the breakfast was top quality. Attention to the little details made the place extra special. THOROUGHLY recommend a stay at Highcliffe House!
I honestly cannot fault this hotel. Beautiful views, very tastefully decorated, incredible breakfast and all in a very good location. Jason was extremely helpful, always welcoming and very professional. The room we stayed in was beautiful; recently redecorated in a modern way yet had beautiful antique furniture and a bed that could easily fit four adults. It's very evident that a lot of hard work has gone into the building, and I would genuinely love to go back.
The location cannot be beat. The hosts were informative, caring, friendly and very good in the kitchen.
The towns of Lynton and Lynmouth were both wonderful. The views were breathtaking from house.
It was a memorable stay and we will be back.
What a stunning hotel, everything about it is perfect. Jason & Neal made us feel so welcome with nothing being too much trouble, they should be very proud of what they have at Highcliffe. The rooms are beautiful and the location is breathtaking. The breakfast was a wonderful selection of local produce and was absolutely delicious. The only downside of our stay is that we didn’t stay long enough!!
We stayed for two nights at the Highcliffe and the rooms, food and welcome were first class. This hotel is beautifully kept. The owners have taken great pride in all its aspects. It perches high on the hill beside Lynton and gives great views all round. We will certainly be going back there again.
Stay was perfect. Only downside was approach to Highcliffe. I didn't receive directions by email and sat nav took us down a VERY narrow lane where we got stuck for an hour and a half not able to open car doors. If it hadn't been for a kindly gentleman passing we would have still been sitting there. Car damaged so it wasn't a good start but holiday turned out to be lovely. Future guests need to make sure they receive an email from proprietors so this doesn't happen again. It was s nightmare!
Exzellentes Frühstück mit traumhaften Blick auf die Bucht von Lynmouth. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereite Personal. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt.
Owners Karen and Mike could not do enough for you. We were offered a traditional Devon Tea on arrival which provided a lovely start to the short break.
The view out over Lynmouth and Lynton and the coast from our room was stunning.
Be aware these views are because of the location high on a steep road overlooking the town.
Could not fault this 6 Bedroom Hotel, I think the best we have stayed in (we have stayed in loads! - by our age, 65). Quality products used everywhere, room, bathroom, dining room (cutlery, dishes and food -best breakfast ever and lots of choice). Always plenty of hot water and heating in room - as it should be (although this isn't always the case in other places we have stayed!), Short of nothing, there was even an honesty bar in fact no issues which meant we had a very comfortable stay.
Lovely B&B. 5 min walk to town centre and with magnificent views. Mike was a Iovely host and his dinner recommendations were on the mark. My only disappointment was that I couldn't stay longer.
