"This property is unusual for hotels.com in that its main function is as a conservation centre for a rare breed donkey. It’s close enough to Perpignan to be convenient but far enough away to feel tranquil. The room was excellent. The decor was pleasantly quirky, Mexican themed with a Frieda Carlo picture on the wall and a cactus shaped soap dish in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom modern. "Lovely property well maintained in a remote location. Sadly the pool wasn’t in operation during our stay but that did not detract. We were allocated the pool house so unable to comment on the main house. Owners are friendly, welcoming and eager to please. The village of Darnius is quaint but very much a one-horse town (unfortunately someone has stolen the horse). If it’s tranquility you are after, you will find it here."

"Nos alojamos con 7 amigos durante un fin de semana largo y disfrutamos mucho de la casa. la propiedad es hermosa y perfecta para un grupo. ¡Nuestro favorito era la gran piscina fresca de manantial de montaña! La anfitriona fue muy amable e incluso nos trajo tomates y pepinos frescos de su jardín. Antes de irnos, recorrió el resto de la enorme casa que también se puede alquilar. Es un hermoso espacio, ideal para una gran fiesta. ¡Definitivamente regresaré!"

"I would not recommend this property to anyone without a car. We could not find the reception area and found their limited hours unhelpful. Once we got in, the staff member was helpful and kind, but beware there is no FREE beach shuttle as listed prominently in the advertisement. I was not impressed with cleaning the apartment either."
