Extremely good service from all the staff. Great location for restaurants and access to Old Funchal. There are two downsides. 1st, parking is beyond extremely challenging - as in “Good Luck Finding Parking less than 1km away.” 2nd, This is the main reason why I would not choose a place calling itself a boutique hotel. The rooms, beds, washrooms, are extremely old and uncomfortable - not what you expect a boutique hotel to be. As a recommendation, the Hotel can inprove by simple replacing all the mattresses with premium ones and simple changing everything in the room white as the current colors inside are similar to a 1970’s basement apartment. The washroom need renovations and something as simple as new comfortable toilets and modern hardware would make them incredible.

Great place, walk to pools in less than two minutes. Didn’t have great weather, but everything else was great. Huge breakfast buffet. Nice pool and sauna too!

"The staff is fantastic. The property is well kept, but is an older 10 years but in good repair. I think the property is better than many of the reviews that expected a new property. We like the quiet cute town of Machico. We worked with the hotel staff to extend our stay 4 more days!! Many nice restaurants ..."
